Fox News Poll: Trump approval down, voters support special counsel on Russial

I'm not surprised.

As I stated in another thread (per propaganda expert J. Goebbels), repeat something over and over enough times and most people will eventually come to believe there is something to it.

I have no problem with an investigation, nor even with a Special Prosecutor...when the issue was clearly criminal as with the Nixon Watergate scandal.

However, I distrust the use when it is seems a politically motivated witch-hunt like the Republican's pursued with Bill Clinton. I honestly think this current Trump investigation activity is similar to that farce.

Still, while I believe it is a waste of time and meant only as a distraction to prevent Trump from focusing on his goals, I accept it as a method of showing what we all already suspect, that there was no collusion with Russia.

I also recognize that Trump's childish reactionary behavior is also becoming annoying.

Still again, I voted for him with my eyes open and got what I expected for the most part. So I will continue to support him on the things I agree with, and not on those I disagree with. :coffeepap:
I disagree with some aspects of your post, but can see where you're coming from.

But Trump brings his problems on himself.

He lies, bullies, and pushes. He has no respect for democratic institutions.

He lied about Flynn, fired Comey inappropriately, and essentially acts as if he's covering-up or obstructing. His behaviour assists in drawing investigations, IMO.

"American voters disagree with President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey, think the dismissal was for self-serving reasons, and approve of a special counsel being appointed to investigate Russian government efforts to influence the election and the Trump campaign. In addition, a majority opposes the Republican plan to replace Obamacare.
Hmm, so many on the left and right called for him to be fired. Now that Trump fires him, everyone loves him. Oh, and they all love Obamacare too.

It will barely be considered.

The Elite will scream "TRUMP WANTS TO SCREW YOU!".

Trump will call that #FAKENEWS

Then we see.
Initially.

However as the healthcare changes take place and effect their lives, they may reconsider the truth. It may not influence them away from Trump, but it's possible it shakes their faith in him.

Hmm, so many on the left and right called for him to be fired. Now that Trump fires him, everyone loves him. Oh, and they all love Obamacare too.

Pretty funny I saw a Maxine Waters interview lambasting Trump for firing him, yet Maxine was quoted last year saying Comey should be fired. In the interview I mentioned Waters said if Hillary had been elected she should have fired him.
The idiocy is just unbelievable.

Sometimes the propaganda works.

I'm tired of feeling sorry for people who constantly vote against their own best interests.

So ... F-them, it's time they learn the hard way.

The GOP Senate members, if not McConnell, understand that if the pass this as is the GOP majority in the House goes under by at least 50 seats.
Very possibly. The several GOP Senators I saw on cable today immediately ran away from the House bill, claiming they are starting from scratch on their own bill!

I think that speaks volumes ...

If anything like Trump's budget proposal gets through he will see his numbers with the white working class drop off a cliff. They are going to get hammered. I think the safe play is to not make a huge healthcare decision or dramatically cut funding to programs that affect most Americans. Those two things are absolute minefields.

It's funny that those voters are cheering him on to gut those programs, thinking they are finally going to get rid of the burden of all those Cadillac driving welfare queens and hoardes of illegal immigrants and terrorist Muslims that they, the hard working, independent real Americans have had to carry... Until they realize they are the ones who are going to be the most hurt. That's going to wipe that self-satisfied smile right off their face real quick.

I'm simply the messenger.

Fox wrote the message.

But it seems you're right. Though considering Comey's recent circumstances concerning Trump's investigation, I can see the concerns among the citizenry.

Yes. The Dems should help them quickly pass all these laws before they have time to think about it too much more. If they can get Trump to pass all these things he said he wanted to do on the campaign trail, you are not going to see another Republican anywhere near the whitehouse or congress for at least the next decade.

Ok ... well I wouldn't go that far as to help them

Another bogus poll. (why am I not surprised)

Sampling:

Democrats: 45%

Republicans: 38%

Independents/Other: 18%

Only useful idiots give this poll any credibility. Rejected!

Rasmussen: 48% approval.

A week ago Rasmussen had him more net-negative than this Fox News Poll. Honestly it fluctuates too much to be taken as solid evidence by either those wanting to use it to support Trump or those wanting to attack him. And Rasmussen has had plenty of results over the past two months for both sides to use it the way they want. Similar to how it oscillated fairly frequently between Clinton+5 and Trump+5 in the election cycle.

It weights by Party ID which is a particularly poor polling practice, among other flaws in it's methodology.

Hmm, so many on the left and right called for him to be fired. Now that Trump fires him, everyone loves him. Oh, and they all love Obamacare too.

Foy maybe the one zillionth time, no-one suddenly loves Comey, the issue is with the apparently self serving reasons Trump fired him. No-one would have had an issue if Trump had fired Comey months ago.

Secondly, yeah they do. Turns out that once people realize what's actually in Obamacare, that it's the same thing as the ACA and that it helps people they're usually for it. Weird huh.

I dont think that Trump is against the interests of the run over.

Sure that is what the elite say, but they are well documented liars.

The Elite? Like Billionaires? Like Trump and everyone in his cabinet?

Ooops - class warfare...follow the Elite without question

You know, this excuse is getting slim - the entire world is one vast conspiracy against the only good decent man in Washington. He was elected to drain the swamp, but people say bad things about him so he can't do anything...the Victim in Chief.

Watch your mouth mister, Mr Donald J Trump is awesome.

I well understand that my brain is contraband.

I suggest that you deal with that.

AND that the elite failed.

This is obvious.

SORRY!

Then why does his budget contain massive Medicaid cuts of 25%?

CNN: Trump budget: $800 billion in Medicaid cuts

And why is TrumpCare leaving 23M more uninsured, with insurance rates for seniors increasing up to 800%?

NYT: G.O.P. Health Bill Would Leave 23 Million More Uninsured in a Decade, C.B.O. Says

This is helping the disenfranchised, uneducated, older, poor, Caucasians, in flyover country? Taking away their Medicaid and health insurance?

I do hope this is sarcasm...kinda hard to tell lately. This is not the craziest I've read.

I have to take him at his word that he is wanting to free up enough money to make jobs, that he thinks that this what is required to get the American economy to produce jobs, and that Trump is enough of a rube to think that Americans would still rather have jobs than handouts.

Do you have a better explanation?

Yeah.

He and the Repubs have to cut government services to the people, so they can pay for tax cuts to the wealthy and their corporations.
