H.R. 1628, American Health Care Act of 2017

May 24, 2017

CBO and JCT estimate that enacting the American Health Care Act would reduce federal deficits by $119 billion over the coming decade and increase the number of people who are uninsured by 23 million in 2026 relative to current law.
This is the new Congressional Budget Office/Joint Committee on Taxation score of Trump's American Health Care Act of 2017 as passed by the House GOP.

Under this newest version of Trumpcare, 23 million Americans will lose their healthcare coverage under the AHCA by 2026.

The new name for it should be

Not if they get a job.

Could you possible be less informed?

Somehow we managed to become the greatest nation in world history for 200+ years without government healthcare.

Could you possibly be more obtuse?

We're the wealthiest nation on the planet and still have not managed to figure out how to get everyone basic health coverage. People go bankrupt because they got sick. By what metric is this the greatest in history?

It sounds like a stupid argument. Sure free goods are nice to have. But that is no reason to take one person's money away from them to pay an other's premium.

Medicare started in 1967. Do the math.

Could you possibly be more obtuse?

Of the 23 million people that lose healthcare, many of those HAVE jobs. Ever hear of self employed?

Your comment was total bull****. Yeah, yeah, I know you heard it on RW radio so it must be true.

Republicans don't like small businesses or entrepreneurship.
