'The House Republican health care bill would leave 23 million fewer Americans with health insurance by 2026 than under Obamacare, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday.
The highly anticipated CBO score is poised to trigger another round of negative headlines and more hurdles for Republicans as they look to advance a controversial piece of legislation that was passed in the House earlier this month.'

Thoughts?

My thoughts are the government has no business insuring anybody.

don't we need some depopulation? Go GOP ..............

Republicans would've been smarter to tweak the ACA and give it a new nickname. I don't understand actually pushing a plan that results in millions losing their healthcare. It is particularly damaging to some of their most loyal voters.

Deficit savings reduced to 119 B versus 150 B in the original CBO; savings based on cuts to Medicaid and private insurance subsidies

So you would get rid of Medicare?

There's a brilliant move.

The entire system could be run far better for a fraction of the current cost. Everything the government touches costs five times more than it should and becomes a bureaucratic nightmare for everyone.

Die
If there were sufficient externalities and it could be shown that general welfare and efficiency of the country were raised by free healthcare, there could be a good argument made. Surprising that liberals don't argue it that way.

McConnell whines: 'I don't know' how we get to 50 votes on health care bill .

You are delusional. As soon as the republicans get involved the insurance companies will railroad consumers.

Everything the government touches costs five times more than it should and becomes a bureaucratic nightmare for everyone.

Medicare certainly has its problems. But by and large it is very affordable coverage. Way less than private pay.

Is this good or bad?

Every government-run healthcare system on the planet costs less than our private one does.

"Everyone will have insurance! Wonderful insurance! The best insurance!" -- Donald Trump

What a downright moronic reply.

The citizens of countries with westernized national health care live longer, healthier lives for much less than Americans live and pay.

That is common knowledge, Erod. Read up and educate yourself Health Costs: How the U.S. Compares With Other Countries | PBS NewsHour

People come from everywhere to get the best healthcare here. Canadians do it all the time.

Obamacare was cratering from within. It was dying on the vine because it is financially incapable of supporting itself. THAT is what you are trying to ignore.

You can kinda see why they wanted to pass the bill before the score came out. Of course, we all knew this was coming.

This should flip both the House and Senate in the next election. And, then Trump can be impeached. Woo Hoo!!!

You need to keep telling yourself that. Write you representative too. :)

No chance the Senate flips. The house maybe but not the senate.

I'd like a Trump supporter to chime in here and explain to me exactly which part of this bill improves healthcare.
