In the midst of the 2016 presidential primary season, the FBI received a purported Russian intelligence document describing a tacit understanding between the campaign of Hillary Clinton and the Justice Department over the inquiry into whether she intentionally revealed classified information through her use of a private email server.

The Russian document mentioned a supposed email describing how then-Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch had privately assured someone in the Clinton campaign that the email investigation would not push too deeply into the matter — a conversation that if made public would cast doubt on the inquiry’s integrity.

The Russian document is real, but there is a very interesting fact about the email, which would have proven obstruction of justice against the Clintons. The Russians dumped thousands of emails onto the Wikileaks site, but the email in question here is not one of them. Why? Because that email never existed. The Russians made it all up in order to influence the election. And that brings us to the reason that Comey reopened the investigation just before the election. He saw the Russian document, and made his decision on that because it looked serious. You can't fault Comey on that. He has always been a straight shooter, and he did what he felt must be done. However, he ended up doing what he did based on news that the Russians faked in a masterful fashion.

You can't fault Trump supporters for believing this either. They were also duped. As a matter of fact, so were a lot of Democrats. While the FBI was playing checkers, the KGB was playing chess, and it is time to make the Russians pay for it. We were very successfully trolled by them. Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, America needs to come before party. This was an attack on America and democracy itself. In regard to this episode, it has become part of the criminal investigation, although I strongly believe that no Republican actively took part in this attack. This is all on Russia, which, by it's actions, has proven itself to still be our mortal enemy, and not our friend. Instead of kissing Russia's ass, we need to kick them to the curb. IMHO, the Cold War is on again. Which side are you on?

The Email thing mattered because what she did with her e-mails and how she responded to complaints about what she did with the emails reinforced what we had long ago decided about her...and the Russians had nothing to do with that.

I very strongly disagree. The Russians made up a story about an email that never existed. In addition, the people the Russians referenced not only never spoke to each other, they don't even know each other, and at least one of them never heard of another person that she was supposed to have spoken with.

Unless you are claiming that Hillary did not set up a homebrew server so that she could avoid using the government system she was supposed to use you have no argument.....the truth is what matters, and the fact that for the last 20 years Clinton Corp has acted like the rules do not apply to them because they are SPECIAL! is part of the truth.

The Russians had nothing to do with that.

EDIT: This too:

After all, it was Clinton who never seemed to grasp the seriousness of the issue and how it eroded the public's already shaky confidence in her. Her inability to do those things meant she was never able to put the story behind her. And then the Comey announcement came, which undoubtedly surged the issue back to the top of many voters' minds
Hillary Clinton's 'email' problem was bigger than anyone realized - CNNPolitics.com

Hillary is a really crappy politician, and not only that the D Party proved how corrupt they are when they worked so hard to give us no choices other than this one crap "choice".

Tends to turn people off...you know?

Never mind the 30,000 emails that were destroyed.

An unnamed source far from the White House told me that the Russians simply found an "official" email sent to/from Hillary using a .com address which confirmed Hillary's use of a private server. ;)

By that time (see bolded above) the Russians could have "discovered" that Hillary's private server contained classified data simply by watching/reading the US MSM news. ;)

How could this e-mail have influenced the election? The MSM refused to report any negative information about the Clintons, and if this e-mail supposedly existed, nobody knew about it until now. Unless you think an e-mail being revealed on 5/24/2017 is affecting an election that took place 6 months into the past, this is much ado about literally nothing.

I would rather seek peace than war. :peace

Clinton had a home server, therefore it's okay for the Russians to create false documents in order to influence an investigation and change the outcome of an election.

A year ago I would have been horrified by the moral and philosophical bankruptcy of Trump supporters, but now I'm completely numb to it.

Except the documents weren't false.

CNN really did feed Hillary the debate questions. Wasserman really did undermine Bernie Sanders. Hillary really did use a private server for classified documents. Etc, etc, etc.

Keep deflecting what the real story is all you can. Nobody is buying crap.
