Re: Trump asked intelligence chiefs to push back against FBI collusion probe after Co
'Rosenstein threatened to quit over Comey memo'
(Rosenstein said he didn't).
I didn't say they were all true. But many of them are -- including those cited by defenders of Trump.
'Comey was going to ask for more money for Russian collusion investigation'
(McCabe testifies to congress the investigation properly resources)
McCabe was not
aware of any requests or intent; that doesn't mean Comey did not intend to ask for more resources.
'Trump obstructed justice by telling Comey to stop investigation of Flynn'
(Comey testifies before congress that no one interfered or obstructed the Flynn investigation)
(If Comey felt obstructed in his investigations, it would be a felony for him NOT to report it to his superiors in DOJ. He never did).
1) The claims that Trump obstructed justice are not leaks, and so far it's looking like almost every basis for that allegation are correct.
2) The firing of Comey is part of the allegation that Trump is obstructing justice.
3) The claim that it would be a felony for Comey not to report alleged obstruction by the President is total bull**** and a desperate defense (
https://lawfareblog.com/no-jim-comey-not-legal-jeopardy).
Trump gave classified secrets to the Russians during their White House meeting
(McMaster later game out and no that didn’t happen, and he WAS PRESENT in those meetings)
Try again.
McMaster gave a classic non-denial denial, the likes of which he himself had publicly criticized during his career.
Then, Trump torched McMaster, by admitting
twice that he did in fact give the Russian foreign minister and ambassador classified information.
What else seems to be true?
• National Guard round-up-undocumented-immigrants memo (not enacted, but real)
• Torture EO draft
• Religious freedom EO draft
• Call with Turnbull
• Call with Estevez
• Yemen raid info
• Flynn's contact with Kislyak
• Tax form leaked (hyped but real)
• Infrastructure priorities leaked
• Spending plans leaked
• Health care plans and tactics leaked
• Tax plan leaked
• Mar-a-Lago patrons
• Lynch unmasked NSA surveillance (did you protest that one vehemently?)
I'm sure there is more, but there are only so many minutes in the day.
Let's not forget that many of these leaks are by administration insiders, who are floating ideas to gauge the feedback, want to spin the story their way, want to trip up the media (yes really) and/or are engaged with constant knife fights for influence.
Not to mention that the people denying the leaks don't exactly have a lot of credibility. Especially with something like the Comey firing, where Trump switched his story a dozen times in a week, including undermining his own staff in doing so.
The leaks are real, my friend.
