"Clock boy" discrimination lawsuit dismissed by federal judge

Nigerian Police.
So, not a teacher.

And which official made the decision to not evacuate, and how did they explain that choice? Can you provide evidence of any of this?

The Principal made the decision. He considered evacuation more dangerous than standing fast. Embassy Regional Security Officer endorsed his decision.

Did a teacher pick up the bomb and carry it to the principal?

I wonder if the manufacturer of the clock that he presented as his own 'invention' will ever get around to suing him and his family for the wealth they accumulated by lying about inventing a clock that they manufactured.

The suspected bomb was left in place until the police arrived. They took it away. It turned out to be a fake.

Do you think it's because no human being would ever voluntarily pick up a bomb without being, you know, trained to do that?

That's a different question from the one you started with, but there's no limit to human capacity for foolishness.

It's not, really. The point all along is that you are proposing that multiple adults made really absurd decisions regarding an explosive device. Your anecdote about a Nigerian school is a red herring, nobody here went and said "Well it could be a bomb but we think it's safer to leave children in the building."

The call was made by the American staff of AIS in Lagos.

Whether people made absurd decisions is not for me (or you) to say.

A school teacher picking up a bomb is absolutely an absurd decision and I absolutely can say that.

That level of certainty must be comforting.

Indeed. Similarly, I can very assuredly state that a person who has never flown a plane before attempting to land a 747 is a terrible idea. I can say a pastry chef attempting to hug a rattlesnake is a terrible idea. I can say any human being chugging a two liter bottle of vodka is a terrible idea. Some choices are just objectively bad.

The school officials didn't respond in manner remotely consistent with thinking a bomb could even possibly be present. Do you agree or disagree?

Agree or disagree to what, how they responded? Who cares? He's just an attention whore.

This line of conversation started because people were calling it a stunt, a "fake bomb threat."

How can that be true when he never said the device was a bomb, and nobody in the building thought the device was a bomb?

Is there some reason a simple, direct question was something you were afraid to answer?

Reactions to a bomb threat are governed by complex context. Your analogies are simplistic and therefore inappropriate.
