The FCC votes to overturn net neutrality

The nightmare that is the Trump administration continues its agenda of fleecing the average American.

Something that definitely would not have happened under Clinton.

The people who will suffer the most are, as usual, the people who put Trump into office.

And they won't be able to understand why it's happening to them, though they'll know to blame Clinton, because they all watch Fox News and as Fox is always sure to remind their viewers, Clinton is the cause of all suffering on earth.

Like objectivists. Like far-right libertarians/anarcho-capitalists and certain corporatist conservatives. Vulgar libertarians seem to have a blind spot to the natural monopolies.

I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that you know even less about Objectivists than you do about cable

I used to be an Ayn Rand fan back in the day, so I know what I'm talking about.

No, clearly the people suffering the most are whiney liberals as this thread demonstrates.

The kind of people applauding this are the kind that would be perfectly happy privatizing our roads, bridges, and water supplies.

The kind of people applauding this don't actually understand the issue of Net Neutrality in most cases.

Voting against their own interests because, uh... BUT HER EMAILS!!!

Um, there is no other provider outside of Comcast where I live. We're forced to do business with them.

Well if I were you I'd stick it to your isp by using your wifi instead.

Yay! Even more data caps, slow speeds, throttled connections, and selling of personal information to third party companies.

Aren't you a Trump supporter? Explain it to the rest of the Trump supporters here who believe that the elimination of NN exclusively targets liberals.

Once again I have to ask... what's the point in the government setting a rule if it can just be undone a short two years later out of spite?

There's no respect for prior precedent anymore.

No I'm not. Also, I don't know of any of them that have said it targets Liberals exclusively I think most of them are too dumb to understand how the internet even works. Therefore, they have no idea what net neutrality is.

And that...is why voters can't fall asleep at the wheel of Democracy. When they do, they lose their clean water, clean air, health care, education and civil liberties.

Don't vote. Lose everything. Democracy.

Who are paid to build them by the taxpayers. Point?

You acted as if road construction wasn't privatized. Just correcting that faulty notion.

Fletch thinks the elimination of NN is great because liberals are whining.

Why don't you explain it then rather than post childish cartoons?

Read the Wiki entry on net neutrality. It's the bare minimum you can do. Those of us who who read up on it and educated ourselves know why losing it is bad.

Trump supports and people that oppose net neutrality sold out their own rights and interests to mega corporations like Comcast and Time Warner(Spectrum).

I used to think Republicans were Party over Country, but now they're party over themselves as well. It's simply outstanding how gullible you have to be in order to believe the removal of something as critical as net neutrality is good for anybody except for ISPs.

Well its probably similar to the global warming issue. They only listen to politicians who are paid by the corporations to ruin the lives of the average person.

So, you cant explain it. Which explains why you post childish pictures instead. Got it.

Are you forbidden from using Hughsnet?

Satellite internet is unusable for anything involving low latency real time applications. It's subpar for browsing. It has nasty data caps and overages.

We spent years explaining it in excruciating detail twenty times per page per thread, and you all laughed at us. Now we're done explaining it to you.

Now you get to learn it the hard way.
