Mueller, Comey have had long, close relationship

It isn't about me agreeing, or disagreeing. It's about the fact that you are the only person to claim that the special counsel is directly related to Comey's termination.

LOL, OK. Then I'm glad to be in select company with the guy who appointed Mueller. I can't quote the statement from this source, but why do you think Rosenstein refers to the need to appoint someone who has "a degree of independence from the normal chain of command" right after the regular chain of command FIRED the guy previously in charge of the Russia investigation?

When did Rosenstein say that the White House lied?

I didn't say Rosenstein made that allegation publicly. He can't. But we know the WH did lie about the reasons, and so did Rosenstein.

Nothing in your source says anything about the special councel being directly related to Comey's termination. In fact, it explicitely states that the special councel is for the investigation of the Russian Connection.

We're talking about two different things.

We're talking about two different things.

I thought we were talking about you mistakenly claimed that the appointment of the special counsel is directly related to Comey's termination.

It's beyond that though, JoG.

I could easily see the ramifications of firing Comey, especially given the specific events at the point in time.

I suspect you could, as well.

So why can't Trump? Why can't he see the ramifications of his actions?

That's his danger. He's moderately dangerous as merely a citizen. He is extremely dangerous as the most powerful man in the world. His recent intelligence source leaking is a prime example.

Totally d'accord with one nagging thought in the obscure murk: What does it mean, if he did see it?

I'm pretty sure Trump doesn't listen to his advisors. If I saw James Comey's profile, and then saw a DNC operative as the deputy, I'd have fired the DNC OPERATIVE FIRST, at the start of the presidency then have fired Comey later. Now you've got McCabe in an untouchable spot.

I am afraid that Trump is handicapped by an unsuitable socialization for the job and lacks the experience to have taught him his limits.
