Trump Team Knew Flynn Was Under Investigation Before He Came to White House

And in rushed the Trump apologist with a but, but Hillary..

Yawn.

If you want to think that. I was just reminding Cardinal that stupidity is bipartisan.

There really are no winners here, are there?

I know this sounds stupid, but what if there was a special election if it were concluded that collusion occurred? After all, if unlawful cheating had taken place, could an argument not be made for a...do-over?
Why would a special election occur? At the end of the day, if Trump campaign colluded with Russia, it still wouldn't invalidate the votes of that November day.

If Trump colluded with Russia, I'm not even sure it would be capable of leading to impeachment and conviction. No, if you want Trump out (and it's clear you do), you need to find another avenue. This current story about Trump asking Comey to drop the investigation of Flynn has a much better chance of ending Trump's reign.

A Republican lead WH also knew of Al-Qaeda cells in the US before 911.

Condoleezza Rice asserts 'Bin Laden Determined To Attack' wasn't a warning.

Looks for the old "no one told them that they needed to do something about it" excuse.

In other words, they are all dangerously ****ing incompetent.

look at the date of this letter warning about flynn

then look who it was addressed to. pence better come up with some good excuses about his participation with flynn,

Pence led the transition, and since Flynn informed the transition team, Pence knew. Here he is in an interview lying about it. Twice.

Well, and then there's that little matter of that conversation with McCarthy to the effect they believed Trump was on Putin's payroll. Is there any Republican currently in the line of succession not embroiled in some type of scandal?

I just have no words for their stupidity.
Well beyond stupidity.

Knowingly appointing a compromised individual to be the National Security Adviser is treason.

Is it? In the strictest legal sense of the word? Genuinely asking.

I'm not a lawyer, here is the statute language...

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 807; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(2)(J), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.

I think it's going to be very difficult for Pence to remain unscathed after this. The idea that Pence was unaware of Flynn's true status for that long requires the suspense of disbelief.

I've said all along that I found it hard to believe that Pence was in the dark. He knew since counsel knew on Jan. 4, 2017.
