Special counsel appointed in Russia probe

Most socialists don't. That's why they still think that corrupt economic and political system works.
Just have to look at all the failed socialist states throughout history, most recently Venezuela.

IMO eohrn, one great failure is that they depend on headlines, and not content. They develop lifestyle and outlook by sound bite or tweet.

Consider the exchange you commented on. Obviously there is no depth the what the poster had been led to believe. I have no doubt the poster felt very confident in the information contained in a headline or two from the posters quite biased and agenda driven sources.

However, it seems to me if you're going to push a claim, you had better know everything about it. Liberal/Socialist Progressives appear to satisfied with effort that falls woefully short of "know everything about it".

To be fair, there are quite a number of people all across the political spectrum here on DP that occasionally get caught doing this, and no, I'm not excluding myself (rather sheepishly). But as a mitigating factor, in the hustle bustle of everyday life, the literal tidal wave flood of information and opinions inundating everyone 24x7 on the Internet and the airwaves, its really no surprise that sometimes only headlines or article titles are all that read, is it?

I'd suggest that when someone is caught out reading only the headlines, that the best response would be to gently remind them that there's more to the story, and suggest that they take a little bit of time to familiarize themselves with the additional information and where to find it.

And Finalnd, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France, UK, Canada, Australia, South Korea.

Oh, that's right.

eph, which nation is trying to imitate America's health care system?

And why are we talking about socialism when in fact Trump et al are fascists?

You're moving the goal posts so fast I can't keep track. This was your comment:

First of all, they ARE investigating, and if anything it's heated up considerably in recent weeks - it's not close to over.

Second, are you now saying the "made up story" was a legitimate counter-intelligence investigation about collusion? It's obviously legitimate, but I'm otherwise lost....

The investigation was about ascertaining whether somebody connected to Trump and/or his campaign was operating as a foreign agent. From there, there was extrapolation into collusion.
And yes, it has heated up lately not because anything new has discovered (it still hasn't) but because of the actions of Trump in dealing with all this.

I'm glad you have special insight into the FBI investigation. Please tell us what other inside information you have that you can share!

None. Comey himself has said there is no criminal investigation of Trump. He has also said this is a counter-intelligence investigation. The turn to the FISA court last year tends to support that.
No inside baseball required. Just a willingness to be skeptical of some of the fevered imagination of some of the anti-Trump types.
Trump could have fired Comey because he was getting "close." Trump could have also fired Comey because he was sick of all the BS about collusion. Both claims have about the same amount of evidence going for it.
