Russian State-Run Bank Financed Deal Involving Trump Hotel Partner

I've read the story; your quotation above suggests you saw nothing other than the headline and the few sentences available outside WSJ's paywall.

What do YOU think the story is, and why do you think it's important? In detail, in your own words?

And....

If there is a problem with this what is it?

The groundbreaking was 2007, the Russians were our friends then, at least that was what we got told.

No, Putin was already behind the scenes in 2007 making a puppet Trump that would rule the world.

So your story is that Putin saw in Trump at least a decade before the Americans did his skills as a politician......

I have my doubts about that, Putin is very smart, but this smart?

No, you don't understand. With this transaction, Putin got access to Trump, killed him, and produced a Trump puppet that he would use to rule the world.

This theory is no less absurd than any of the other collusion theories that have been pursued with no evidence.

The Chinese must be re-calibrating, who knew that America was going to collapse this rapidly...

yawn...

Another "trumped" up thread intended to cast...something...onto Trump. And it failed.

Trump's partner, Russian-Canadian developer Alexander Schnaider, pumped money into Trump's Toronto hotel after selling his company's share in a Ukrainian steelmaker. The Russian bank Vnesheconombank (VEB) provided the money for the sale, according to the Journal — a transaction worth about $850 million.
The buyer has not been publicly identified, but two sources familiar with the matter told the Journal that the money was provided by an entity acting on behalf of the Russian government.

How could that NOT look bad given the current scandals, investigations, and denial by Trump that he has a lot of Russia dealings? Whether it matters, will be up to the enormous body of evidence that continues to mount every day, that links Russia with Trump, whether as a puppet or a willing but dumb participant.

Remember, Trump said this:
"I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!" DJT tweeted Jan. 11, 2017.

Why would he lie? No Russian would be so stupid as to directly pay him from their bank, you guys are fools to think there would be some smoking gun laying on the table. They know how to move money and indirectly purchase, how to use shell corporations, how to not release their tax returns to the public, etc.

I once chatted in an internet chat room with a Russian guy 10 years ago. Am I a Putin puppet now?

I did only see the headline and opening paragraph because like I said, it was behind a paywall. It goes to rebut all the notions from the trumpettes that he hasn't made any money from russia when it's saying that not only from russia but straight from russia state owned bank.

Perhaps you should read the full story, because that isn't what happened.

Yeah, ten years ago. You really proved them wrong!

Perhaps, si ce you read the whole thing you could put your comments on it rather than sitting on the sidelines throwing stones?

I have no idea what you are talking about. 10 years ago? Care to elaborate?

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Watch what this Dutch investigative reporting team found. It will blow your mind. This answers the question of why Trump refuses to release his complete tax returns.

Well, I was giving you the opportunity to prove you're really all about fact and truth and getting things right, to figure it out for yourself instead of coming into this half-cocked, but if you need it spoon-fed to you, I can help.

The Russian bank Vnesheconombank (VEB) provided the money for the sale, according to the Journal — a transaction worth about $850 million.

A Russian bank didn't give any money to Trump for this. A Russian bank didn't give any money to Trump's "partner" in this. A Russian bank financed a buyer who bought a stake in a steel mill from Trump's partner.

In other words, the Russian bank provided financing to a buyer who had nothing to do with Trump.

But, if you're determined to believe, as you probably are, that this constitutes the Russian government giving money to Trump, then nothing on Earth will stop you.
