Sally Yates: Russians had 'real leverage' over Michael Flynn - CNNPolitics.com

Former acting Attorney General Sally Yates said former national security adviser Michael Flynn was in a "serious compromise situation, that the Russians had real leverage" in an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper.

In an exclusive one-on-one interview -- her first on television since being fired by President Donald Trump -- Yates said Flynn lied to Vice President Mike Pence and there was "certainly a criminal statute that was implicated by his conduct.

Well, whale, wail, wheel. The longer I stay at DP, the more I realize that there is the world in DP and there is the real world. In the real world, Michael Flynn is never likely to work in intelligence gathering again. He is Oliver North for millennials. It would look piss poor for anybody to rehire the guy fired for lying to the VP. Yet, in DP world, we were assured that nothing was going on with Flynn for months.

The same thing happened with Manaforte. We were assured that he'd done nothing wrong by DP members, but in the real world, Manaforte is never likely to work for an administration or be connected to one again. The political fallout would be too much for anybody involved. I think that here too, Conservatives and Republicans will tell us there is nothing to fear, but in the real world - people will have to answer to the millions who are demonstrating and demanding answers.

Republicans pushed Hillary's e-mail issue for so long, they have nobody to blame but themselves if they have to clean up Trump's mess for the next 4 years.

Like it or not, deserving or not Trump's destruction of the United States is on the GOP. They have the power to stop it.

In the real world people aren't hyper-partisans. They vote one way or another, because that's the way it is. Because they may have liked what he said in the debate. Or, they may think immigration is a probelm. Or, they may have been negatively impacted by some Obama era policy. Point is, they haven't staked their entire identity on a "reality is conservative based" or "reality is liberal based" basis. So, they will naturally, be able to process new information about Flynn and Trump, without cognitive dissonance. Some won't. Comeygate didn't move Trump's poll numbers at all. And I suspect post-Russiangate numbers, will be the same. About 39% approve and 61% disapprove. For that 39% that has approved of him all the way through, all negative news about Trump is fake news.

LOL

Trust me, I think I'm not far off by saying Republicans couldn't give a damn what the obsessed minions on the left think or claim.

There is a mess to clean up, and that is what inspired voters last November 8.

Hyper-partisans won't care. But, you may want to worry about the Independents that voted Trump in the general, observing what a psychopath Trump is. It could have far-reaching implications for the future of your party.

You count the death count of minions so far buddy:

- Michael Flynn
- Paul Manaforte
- Bill O'Reilley
- Monica Crowley
- James Woosley
- James Comey

In the real world, these people are out of jobs.

Not worried in the least about the Independents.

People on the far left should be paying attention to what the general public says about the media, and for that matter, Congress.

The unprecedented flow of propaganda coming from the left and their MSM partners is not going down well with everyday Americans.

While these dog whistles are certainly scoring well with the target audience desperate to bandage their wounded psyche's, the rest of the nation appears to think little of the effort.

In the real world, there are more than 6 people, Pal...

On the other hand, if you want to talk about people out of jobs on the left.......

That's great, we're only 4 months into this circus, there are plenty of other big names to chose from. I wonder what tune you'll be singing when Banon and Miller are seen exiting the WH?

Her opinion...whether personal or professional...is irrelevant. She did her duty. She notified her superiors. She is now of no consequence.

The people above her...the people who have the authority and the responsibility to evaluate, assess and consider her opinion did just that...and they made their decision.

End of story.

The people above her.. as in Trump and Steve Bannon.. lol. she's 1,000 times more qualified and honorable than those two jagoffs.

And you think everyday Americans care? They care about jobs, their kids, their future, and many other things the social justice warriors obsessed with the left's political war don't have a clue about.

Consider how the general public views the left's MSM partners.

There is a circus for sure, but the left doesn't realize they are the one's occupying the stage...

And you think everyday Americans care?

Look at Trump's current approval ratings and tell yourself you don't.

Keep ignoring them. You know they predicted that Hillary would win the popular vote right?

:)

I will keep ignoring them. When I'm so inclined I actually look at the polls and the methodology. Love the see the left's media partners run and honest one every once in awhile. Oversampling target populations is such an old school method, one would think they'd invent a new way to manipulate the results.

With California, how could Hillary not win the popular vote?

Getting all her popular vote margin there should not have been unexpected. You can't expect slaves to the government teat to vote outside their interests do you?

Of course, the polls also had Hillary in the Oval Office, so there is that...

Hillary won the popular vote, there is no question the polls predicted that and it happened. A victory born in the electoral college of America.

Anywho, please also continue to ignore all of the people losing their jobs and the fallout from these issues?

It'll be fun when you eventually start telling us about the conspiracy to make Michael Flynn into a Russian stooge.

I agree, it was simple to predict the massive popular vote margin the liberal/socialist progressives in California would add to the popular vote total for Hillary. It wouldn't take a polling agency to predict that.

But what happened, can't defend your position, so you leap back to the Flynn meme?

It would seem the dog whistles the left's MSM partners keep blowing are in notes everyday Americans don't recognize.

Flynn's martyrdom at the hands of fake news and rabid left wing radicals will be richly rewarded when he will be canonized next week. Trump will lead the ceremony for the man in whom he never lost confidence.

Flynn will never work for the government again.

He may be charged and tried for crimes.

Time will tell.

Just my opinion, but once Trump pushes through a HUGE tax break for the rich, which are the GOP's donors and the only demographic the GOP really cares about, Trump will be gone. The Republicans in Congress will no longer have any use for him so they will abandon him and use him for a scapegoat for giving the tax breaks for the rich.

Then just in time for the 2018 elections the GOP will blame the tax breaks for the rich on Trump, which will placate the clueless Republican base, And the GOP will also point out how by getting rid of Trump they put country before party, also BS. But lies and using Trump as a scapegoat will work. I have NO faith the Republican base will ever wake up to how badly the GOP is screwing them.

To be honest, Hillary's email was a thing, and Hillary could never be trusted with state secrets. However, it is a molehill compared to what Trump and his cronies are doing for Russia. But, rather than only blame Trump, the blame should be laid at the doorstep of who deserves it, which is We the People. We supported two dishonest people in last year's election, and we have nobody to blame but ourselves. Maybe this will be a wake up call for us to actually get involved, do some critical thinking, and not let 10 sound bites from either Democrats or Republicans shape our own moral compasses, which at this time have no direction whatsoever. The politics of both parties turns my stomach. It needs to end. Now!!
