That first vote of mine for McGovern had a bitter taste, knowing nixon was a crook.

1968 was far worse, with the Chicago convention, the Vietnam war, the assassinations and Nixon's treason with the peace talks .

I wasn't old enough to vote against that slimebag Nixon. The treason he committed with the peace talks needs to be taught far and wide, he put politics ahead of American soldiers lives, he was a terrible POS.

22,000 more soldiers died because of Nixon's treason. Maybe George Will will recount his book on his new MSNBC show.

Reagan/Bush-41 don't get a historical pass for their two presidents at one time either.

I'm glad the pressure is on Ryan/McConnell after the obstruction of Obama they pulled. Let's see how they deal with trump's obstruction of justice .

I wasn't trying to change the subject. You said Democrats had been calling for his head for "nearly a year", and that's FALSE. What I pointed out is after Trump retained Comey, and after another 108 days further into the investigation of Trump, you cannot find any Democrats calling for Trump to fire the man investigating Trump, which is what just happened.

I hope so, but to be honest I think the only way the truth will come out isn't in a public hearing. Comey, Yakes and even Michael Flynn would all need to tell their stories in a closed-door, classified hearing away from the public eye. The American people will only get snippets of what's really going on (if anything) from these public hearings.

Like I have said many times . It is a no brainer that any political official cannot dismiss a FBI director because they are investigating possible crimes committed by themselves or associates. Surely that makes sense to you.

This has nothing to do with the FBI being immune from politics. Your statement was that they were, to which I responded that you are kidding yourself. All one has to do is look at the history of the FBI to see that they have been consistently an organization that is mired in politics and in some cases deeply involved, rather than immune from it.
