Mr Macron defeated far-right candidate Marine Le Pen by about 65% to 35% to become, at 39, the country's youngest president, the results show.
If confirmed, he will also become the first president from outside the two traditional main parties since the modern republic's foundation in 1958.

I am making the point that in the liberal sphere occupations like big banking and especially hedge fund banking are almost universally hated. THAT is my point, you even edge to calling me racist again and you and I will have a problem.

Gotta say I was impressed by the 65 % margin by which macron won, especially given that one party, and many indivduals were encouraging abstention. Seems like an unequivocal rejection of everything Le Pen stands for, well done France:mrgreen:

The good news is Le Pen lost. The bad news is Macron won. The same kind of thing happened in the United States last year.
 
When are democrats going to produce a fairly independent minded, libertarian-esque on economics and liberal on social issues candidate, that is electable?
Macron has notably advocated in favor of the free market and reducing the public-finances deficit.

True, but facing a nationalist vs a social liberal, fiscal conservative like Macron, the good outweighs the bad.

It's our laws that make Wall Street/Big Bankers the target of criticism, in part. Those types often can categorize what to normal workers would be salary + bonus, and they can claim it as cap gains and pay what, 20%? While people in the top 1% on <$ 415K pay 39.6%?

Shuffling money around and manipulating the market, for incredible amounts of money at the expense, ultimately, of investors and/or the general public. Yeah, it's no Doctors without Borders is it?

Technically it would be bigoted words, since "Jew" is not a race, and Semites technically refer to all the people of that area, not just Jews.

No, the Jew banks one is pretty exclusive to the right. They focus on the Jew part, while the radical left focuses on the banks part.

Big banks get involved with whoever wins the presidency. It's not exclusively a left-wing or right-wing thing. It's exclusively a banker thing. When are these fools going to learn? Wall Street wants to influence whoever wins.

Ze Germans were afraid the Jews and immigrants would destroy them. As history turned out, ze Germans destroyed their own Third Reich with their fascist beliefs. Hitler predicted it would last 1,000 years, and that he would go down in history as the greatest leader ever.
