[FONT=&quot]St. Louis police said the 34-year-old woman was sitting in her seat in section 141 at about 9:40 p.m. when she felt pain to her arm. She removed her jacket and noticed a small abrasion to her elbow. She went to the first aid station, and workers there contacted an off-duty police officer working a secondary security job there, police said.

There was a shooting outside and away from the stadium. I wonder how much they'll sue the Cardinals for?

St. Louis has a massive homicide rate. This is just a peculiar way of highlighting that.

St. Louis' numbers are skewed by the fact that the city limits are enclosed only around the most inner part of the city. We don't rank nearly as bad as everyone thinks when you look at it by metro area.

She had a slight abrasion on her elbow and the first aid station could tell it was from a gun shot? Impressive if accurate.

That makes the ball park much safer then. ;)

She felt pain and had an abrasion and the immediate conclusion is that she was struck by a stray bullet?

Must have woke her up from the most boring pastime in America: baseball.

She is going to have to sue the air it traveled through to sue the ball park. If she can get a ballistics match she can sue the shooter. Lol. I hope they laugh her out of court.

Mooooving on now.

But you have a ****ty baseball team. I hate the Cardinals. "ASTROS FOR LIFE"

Is East St. Louis still a complete mess?

I drove through there years ago and it was like driving through a war zone. Whole blocks had burned out buildings and cars. I could not believe it.

I have seen ghettos/slums. But only a block or a street here or there. This place was devastated.

How does the metro area compare to other American cities?

We were in the mid 30s of the top 50 metro areas the last time I looked. Not great, but better than the worst or 2nd to worst St. Louis gets listed every time they make the city lists.

When you see this thread in the Newest Threads section you just read "Baseball fan grazed by stray.....
So one immediately thinks the thread title would be "Baseball fan grazed by stray foul ball". But no, another innocent American almost killed by some loser. Good grief.

It may not be great, but it isn't East St. Louis either. I was based at Scott AFB for a while, and, well...

By golly, it must of been one of those guns that kill kids!

Sadly I think that you are correct. This woman was almost killed by another irresponsible gun owner.

The only reasonable way to avoid these losers with guns is to ban guns... but that won't happen. Too many gun zealots out there.
