Have you ever been out of the city? Public services here, and in most of the country (by area, not population) are pretty slim. I have a deep well I have to maintain myself, I heat with wood that I cut myself, I have a generator to cover for the frequent power outages. I'm about a half-mile from the end of the pavement and they're pretty good about plowing the road in winter because the people who live up the gravel roads bring their kids down and the school bus has to get through to pick them up.
4WD isn't an affectation for lots of people. You might not like to see them in your underground parking lot but that doesn't mean they're useless.
and you would be 100% wrong.
of course and suv isn't an assault car.
I am really thinking of going to an SUV myself instead of a van.
I prefer a SUV because it has room to transport other workers, has secure (and weather proof) tool storage space and has towing capacity to transport building material as well as recreational travel trailer.
I'm sorry, everybody, this is one of those situations where my sarcasm is so advanced that the parody is taken as real. I'm a Texas Libertarian who does long distance, pistol, and 3-gun shoots on the weekends and I drive a Rubicon.
