Trump marking 100th day with 'big rally'

President Donald Trump tweeted Saturday that he will mark his 100th day in office on April 29 by "holding a BIG rally in Pennsylvania.

"The rally will take place on the same day as the annual White House correspondents' dinner, which the President has declined to attend.

The announcement comes just a day after Trump tweeted about the "ridiculous standard" of the 100-day construct for measuring the achievements of a new administration.

Serious question: why doesn't the GOP just find a way to make him the RNC chairman instead? That role is dedicated to fundraising and rallies, which is obviously where Trump is happiest.

Alternate proposal: while he's doing campaigning and rallies, he has a "Matrix cabinet" who just pretends to bring him executive orders to sign, and they can print out fake newspapers showing that his legislation is getting passed and that he's loved by all. And this can all happen while he's permanently in Mar-a-lago and we all agree not to make fun of him for it.

Trump already registered as a candidate for 2020.. Technically, he's campaigning for the Presidential election 2020.

The 100-day is a bench mark of job performance. Earlier Trump made many boasts as to what he will legislatively accomplish during this period. But now that he knows things are not going his way, he of course and expectedly will down play, denigrate, this bench mark. This is all part of his behavior pattern if you can understand this.

So let's just imagine there's a God and He hates humanity and Trump wins that election. What's he going to do then? Register as a candidate again? He's gotta govern some time.

Well, the Whiner-in Chief has good reason to rebuke traditional First 100 Days markers of success/failures because he has set the record for lowest approval ratings in over 50 years.

America does not like poor little Donald.

Mean ol' Americans.... boo-hoo-hoo.

He would probably make Mike Pence register as a candidate for 2024, so he can continure holding rallies for "Mike Pence".

Probably just learning from his predecessor.

Trump seems to be a pretty quick study.

Lawrence Lessig compares the number of fundraisers between Presidents Reagan and Obama | PolitiFact New Hampshire
>snip>
how many times did Barack Obama attend a fundraiser in 2012, the answer is 228 times," Lessig told the Monitor.

He continued, "And you think, how does a man, as a person, run the nation when he's attending 228 fundraisers? And the answer is not very well.
<snip>
Our ruling

Lessig said Reagan attended eight fundraisers in 1984, while Obama attended 228 in the 2012 cycle.

We couldn’t replicate his exact numbers, but they jibe with reports by experts and the logic of how the public- and private-financing systems work.

There’s certainly little doubt about Lessig’s larger point -- that there’s been a sea change in spending on presidential elections during the past 30 years. On balance, we rate Lessig’s claim Mostly True.

Trump is a travesty. He's obviously running away to compensate for having no victories on his score sheet and for having a scandal-plagued and rudderless administration.

I think you drooled a little bit.

Trump is a travesty. He's obviously running away to compensate for having no victories on his score sheet and for having a scandal-plagued and rudderless administration.

And yet the right track/wrong track is improved since Election Day.

Trump's favorable/unfavorable is improved by a little under 12 points since election day.

Both of these from Real Clear Politics.

Both special elections seem to have drifted Trump's way despite heavily financed opposition with star studded spokespeople in opposition.

The health care legislation is rising from the dead. Appropriate in the Easter Season...

The Tax Reform is proceeding apace.

Impeachment Proceedings have not started.

World leaders around the world seem to be charmed by him after their one-on-ones.

Labor and business leaders seem to like his ideas after their one-on-ones.

Go figure...

So let's just imagine there's a God and He hates humanity and Trump wins that election. What's he going to do then? Register as a candidate again? He's gotta govern some time.

By then, His supporters are hoping that the Constitution will be changed to outlaw the Democratic Party and making Him "Eternal President."

It's interesting, isn't it, that Obama's personal approval numbers were sky high while the country he presided over was suffering slow growth, posting huge debts and really not doing much to help the citizens.

I happened to have liked Obama. Winning smile. GREAT speaker. If he was selling Sham-wows, I probably would have bought 2.

Lying SOB who divided the country beyond anyone's most dire predictions.

Ran up the debt more than any other US President in history.

Got out of and back into Iraq where we are now fighting to win a war that was won before Obama took office and lost afterward. How many times are we going to need to "take Mosul"?

Disastrous foreign policy.

Astonishing abuse of power and misuse of the agencies and tools of government.

If a Republican did what Obama did, he'd have been crucified by the press. Instead, our "watch dogs" in the press asked Obama what he found to be most "enchanting" about his new job.

Our press is a disgrace.

Keep blaming Bush

Yes, even in the midst of a giant economic meltdown Obama's first hundred days were overwhelmingly better than Trump's, whose first hundred days has been defined by scandal and dysfunction. You probably shouldn't have brought up RCP. I wasn't going to until you mentioned it.

By then, His supporters are hoping that the Constitution will be changed to outlaw the Democratic Party and making Him "Eternal President."

With the ACORN scandal, the failure to prosecute Black Panthers, the voting down of voter ID laws, the inaction on illegal immigration and illegal voting, and the election tampering, I think that plenty of people would be fine with the Democratic Party being outlawed, specifically prosecution under the RICO act.

You know that Trump's first hundred days must have been amazing because his supporters want to talk about literally anything else.

What's wrong with bringing up RCP?

You're suggesting many Americans want a literal dictatorship in which failing to be Republican is a crime.

Go back to wherever you came from.

What's wrong with bringing up RCP?

Nothing! I'm happy you did! Did you look at the graphs I posted comparing Obama and Trump's job approval ratings in their first hundred days?

Another pathetic Trump pep rally. Bring your pompoms. Rah rah! SAD!
