And how many Americans have been shot and killed in the 24 hours since this happened... yes both are a tragedy, but lets not forget that this situation in France is a rarity, but in the US it is a daily occurrence.

Okay, if that's what you want to do, that's your prerogative. Most people in the world want to do something about terrorism, violence, murder, rape, child abuse, etc. If you're content sitting back and enjoying it, that's your choice. The rest of us wish acts of violence would stop. And acts of violence against policemen are of particular concern to many of us. If they aren't safe, nobody is.

I assume you're referring to the shootings in places like Chicago. Or are you saying that only liberals shoot other people? Is there a link to support that?

No they are not.. but in this case it is clearly using race as a factor for the US... totally irrelevant in discussion of murder statistics between COUNTRIES!

How are major demographic differences, when the differences totally explain the difference in murder statistics, irrelevant? I'd love to see you try to explain that away.

They are irrelevant in a comparison between countries! Only way you can make it relevant, is if you have the same statistics for the countries you are comparing too.. and you dont.

On top of that, such statistics can only be used to explain the overall statistic, and for the racists out there... make excuses for the high statistic. Fact is latinos (who are mostly white), and Black Americans are... AMERICANS!
