I think Trump made a HUGE mistake. That fool is going to get us into a war with N. Korea sure as ****.

Thoughts?
It is on its way.

The problem here is that no one paid much attention to what else was said at the time.

But soon after the Pacific Command statement, US military officials clarified to CNN that the strike group would first complete a previously scheduled military exercise with the Australian navy.

From the same link above.

The strike group, including the 97,000-ton carrier and its 60-plus aircraft, the guided-missile destroyers USS Wayne E. Meyer and USS Michael Murphy and the guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain, will arrive off the Korean Peninsula by the end of April, multiple US defense officials told CNN.

Living in South Korea at the moment. What I can gather from my limited understanding of the language and culture I can ascertain the average Joe in Korea thinks very low of Trump. That or you can't trump the prices at Lowe's. My Korean is a little rusty.

Thanks Trump, NK and China are having a good chuckle over your bluff, the man is a fool.

What a ridiculous thing to say. There was no bluff.

That Carrier Group is heading to the area.
They first had to complete the exercise they were on.

We've been at war with NK since the 50s. There was only a cease-fire in place.

Plus, we've devoted 30,000 US troops and weapons systems to protect SK ass for all this time.

It's time to bring this to a head.

Words from this administration are worthless, surely the world understands that by now.

Essentially every person outside of the US and most people within the US have an insanely low opinion of Trump. Literally the only people that don't are the minority of his supporters within the US. He's made us into the country everyone else laughs at.

Now Trump has zero credibility not only at home, but abroad.

Despite your post being 3rd in the thread I wonder how many people will either A: ignore it or B: not read past the first post and then immediately post crowing about it in their eagerness to say anything possible negative about Trump.

Trump continues to demonstrate incompetence and to give those of us who do not want him as POTUS more sound reasons to oppose him.

Let us unite in our efforts to shorten his tenure and to stand on the right side of history!

Ask yourself what can you do today to make a difference? Soldier on!

The same thing that I can do to your elected Senators or House member that I do not want to be in office - complain about how "unqualified" (incompetent?) they seem to act. ;)

Ah yes the happy cry of a war hawk behind a keyboard that hopes war will happen and millions will die for the war hawks enjoyment. You want a war send your family over there then and put your family's lives where your warhawk mouth is.

Including our allies. So it seems like, again, bad communication and saber rattling caused a lot of confusion with everyone around the globe. It wasn't just CNN taking this as meaning that Trump was sending ships to watch over Korea, Korea thought this too.

Bad diplomacy, bad communication between the White House and all the branches it needs to be talking and communicating to. And now we have an ally that has lost faith in us because of that. And don't think that NK won't take advantage of this brouhaha. And next time Trump tries to sound tough, the world won't take him seriously.

His behavior and inability to lead are really starting to negatively affect our global effect and international relationships.

The facts and the truth are irrelevant too our corrupt and bias media or the bias and prejudice other party.

'US President Donald Trump said he was sending "an armada" to Korean waters to potentially deal with threats from Pyongyang.

But its no-show has caused some South Koreans to question his leadership and strategy regarding their unpredictable neighbor in the north.'

I think the revelation the media has been lying to the public should be a concern to all.

Spinning up articles to try and avoid the embarrassment over being caught doing so should come as no surprise to rational thinking people.

Now Trump has zero credibility not only at home, but abroad.

Thanks to lies from our corrupt and bias media and left who jeopardize our military and our relations with other countries over their hatred of the right.

Members of my family have already been to war. Regardless, there's no guarantees in life.

Says the war hawk safe behind his keyboard. Pathetic but then that's why war hawks should be ridiculed.

Despite your post being 3rd in the thread I wonder how many people will either A: ignore it
It'll be ignored because it's partisan hackery to deflect from what else we were told.

The President told us, explicitly: "I don't want to talk about it. We are sending an armada, very powerful. We have submarines, very powerful, far more powerful than the aircraft carrier, that I can tell you." in response to the question: "What we are doing right now in terms of North Korea?".

Mattis said that the Carl Vinson was “on her way up there".

Spicer said, "And when you unpack it through that lens and the fact that the USS Carl Vinson is sort of steaming out toward the Sea of Japan...But I think when you see a carrier group steaming into an area like that".

But a photo from roughly a week later, shows that it wasn't.

We also received this statement: "Further confusion was added when Secretary of Defense James Mattis told reporters last week that the exercises had been canceled.", which was explained as: "Multiple US defense officials told CNN that Mattis had inadvertently misspoke and that it was a port visit in Australia that was canceled".

Like I said, it will be ignored because it doesn't address the problem people actually have, which is that the White House either doesn't know what's happening or is deliberately not being truthful. Military officials clarifying to CNN doesn't change the fact Trump and his staff did not paint a clear picture of what's actually happening and that's the issue.

No one wants war but, when we are threatened on a daily basis with annihilation, some of us take that seriously.

The only one that needs to know the exact location and time of where our carrier group is at any given time is our president. Advertising where and when they will be somewhere is only an advantage to our enemies. Anyone with a brain should be aware of this. Trumps only mistake was even telling the media anything about the whereabouts of our carrier group. I would have told the media that is for me to know and our enemies to figure out and the last person I will tell my military plans to is a stupid media who will shout it out to our enemies.

My thoughts are that this is precisely the level of dysfunction a quarter of Americans of voting age sent him to Washington to fulfill. The sooner the rest of America realizes this simple fact, the better.
