Trump Says He Offered China Better Trade Terms in Exchange for Help on North Korea

Re: Trump Says He Offered China Better Trade Terms in Exchange for Help on North Kore

And despite that supposed ignorance he's already been a fantastic diplomatic success. I guess it's better to go into negotiations with someone who loves this country but is ignorant like Trump than someone who hates this country and thinks they know everything like Obama. Goes a long way towards explaining why Trump is always looking out for the American citizen and Obama did everything in his power to cripple the American middle-class.

LOL Every flip flop he makes (and there were 8 of them this week) places him firmly on the side that Obama took. He is a joke and a con man (or worse) that fooled you all. He is using this office to enrich himself and his family and that's pretty much it. Except for making the U.S. into the laughing stock of the world of course.

Pretty incredible article.

Well, no surprise there - another broken campaign promise.

This part is stunning:

It's hard to believe we have a President going into private discussions with a major foreign power completely ignorant about the major issues he's discussing. It's stunning, really, and to say it's worrisome is a huge understatement. We've got an ignoramus in charge, and the worst part is he doesn't even care enough about being ignorant to schedule a briefing on that MAJOR issue before the summit - he leads a government full of people who can explain the basics to him.
Cripe, the only thing that Trump remembers about that meeting was that beautiful and inviting chocolate cake.

****ing moron.

There's a saying, "When you're at rock bottom - the lowest of the lows - the only other direction to go is up!"

It's easy for many of Pres. Trump's supporters to see almost everything he does in a positive light. For starters, he's so anti-Obama every move he makes that even hints at being different from his predecessor will be looked upon favorable whether it's a re-hashed idea from the previous Administration or anything that sounds as if he's sticking it to Obama/liberals in general. And they'll eat it up because it sounds different, gives the appearance that he's being tough all over the place and in particular giving Obama that old thumb in the eye. But the reality is there's nothing he's done to date that's really moved the needle (so-to-speak) on domestic or foreign policy matters.

* Raid in Yeman - a plan dusted off from the Obama Administration
* Tomahawk missile strike in Syria - a plan dusted off from the Obama Administration
* Manufacturing jobs not going to Mexico - business decisions made prior to his inauguration
* Financial services, agricultural and beef exports to China - was already in the works before Obama left office
* Jobs numbers (10/01/16 - March, 2017) - all attributed to Obama economic policies still in effect

Truth is, there's nothing Pres. Trump has done to date that can be attributed to his leadership as POTUS. Now, it's still early - less than 100 days in office. So, he's got plenty of time and room for improvement. But a realistic view of circumstances to date illustrates he really hasn't done anything yet. Still, he really can't sink any lower. There's only UP from here.

I don't know if Trump has hit rock bottom yet. Safe havens like gold and t-bills are selling like hotcakes lately. When the shoe drops on Trump campaign Russian collusion the bottom is likely going to fall out of the Stock market and with growth already slowing another recession is not out of the question. I don't think it will matter how much Trump does to avoid the accusations of quid pro quo with Putin, the collusion is a crime and there will rightly be prosecutions and trials. The good news is that most of Trumps agenda is delayed until 2018 at least and his huge budget cuts and tax cuts for the very wealthy will not yet be stressing our economy.
