I remember when we Republican-dispositioned voters, tended to be a bit leery of anyone caught up in a FISA court approval.

During the Bush administration we defended the institution from attack by Leftists who thought it was some shadow government kangaroo court, thinking if you got approval, there was good reason, and again when Snowden started blasting it.

Page is a slimy character. I saw him in an interview and he was being really coy before he finally admitted meeting with a Russian official. If he felt he was doing nothing wrong, why not just say, "Hey, I met with <insert Russian official name here>, this was what it was about"?

I would still be a little bit leery if not for the fact that the collusion investigation has been going on for months now and there's still not a shred of evidence to support the narrative.

That and the fact that if there was ANY evidence at all it would have been leaked months ago.

No, this was spying for Politcal purposes from a admin that didnt mind using the authority and power for Political purposes

This looks like a fishing expedition by the Obama administration: finding a Trump campaign staffer they could squeak through FISA due to active connections to Russian businesses, conduct surveillance on him, gather "incidental" communications between this Trump staffer and other Trump staffers because he is a Trump staffer, and then have Susan Rice pull that incidental surveillance and have all the names unmasked. The specific allegation from Trump was that "Obama was wiretapping Trump Tower". Then when his B.S. was called, Trump said, "wiretapping was in quotes, I meant surveillance". So now your saying that what Trump REALLY meant was that his campaign staff was under surveillance both in and out of Trump Tower. Whatever....

The article proves that a FISA warrant was issued for Carter Page. As to what was "believed", that is speculation on the part of the person writing the story. They chose to use the word "believed" in place of several other, more accurate, but not as absolute sounding words. Like "suspected", for instance.

Where were the FBI wiretaps on Carter Page? Seems you'd need to know that before you make any more claims...
