Copts victims of another atrocity. Looks like 'ISIS Sinai' in a vicious Palm Sunday attack.

The M-E's largest Christian population had long been persecuted both officially and unofficially.
Many have left since 'Arab Spring'/Nuclear Winter for Christians.
Still they are the M-E largest Christian enclave: 10% of Egypt's 92 Million population.

But the sentiment against them has changed of late, as ISIS is seen as a common enemy.
Three of the dead were policemen who tried to prevent a bomber from entering one of the two churches.

...The attacks raise fresh questions about the ability of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi’s government to protect the minority group, and come just weeks ahead of an expected first visit to Egypt by Pope Francis.

The first explosion targeted the Mar Girgis Church in the Nile Delta city of Tanta, some 60 miles north of Cairo, as worshipers attended morning services. Security officials said an unknown assailant planted a bomb under a seat in the main hall."

Shortly after, a suicide bomber attempted to enter Saint Mark’s Orthodox Cathedral in the center of the coastal city of Alexandria, blowing himself up at the entrance after being stopped by police, the interior ministry said.
The cathedral is a major landmark in the city and had been the historic seat of the Coptic Pope.".."

That isn't funny on any level.

The fight against terrorism is sadly frustrating. How do you punish a suicide bomber? How do you even determine who to go after for these attacks? Bombing will not eliminate terrorism.

Proves once again that US focus in the region should not be on Assad and Syria, it needs to be on eradicating ISIS.

Muslim Egyptians donate blood to deadly church blast victims

Fanatics won't tell you this;
Muslim Egyptians donate blood to deadly church blast victims

Egyptian men and women rushed to mosques in Tanta to donate blood for people injured in Sunday’s deadly blast, which struck the Coptic Christian Church earlier in the day.

Mohammed Ahmad Hassan, a Tanta resident, said loudspeakers were used to call on people in the city to head to mosques and donate blood to help those injured by the attack. The call came bloods stocks at the hospitals were beginning to run out.
