We have in excess of 7000 boots on the ground in Syria and Iraq. Iran has 100000 troops there.

It is not the job of US forces to defend other nations; if NON US forces want to kill off others then that is not the US killing off those same people

I was under the impression that the main function of the US gubmint is to protect US citizens

I don't see the downside to doing this. I think Syria deserved it. Just have to see wait and see what they do next.

The President must get Congressional approval before attacking Syria-big mistake if he does not!

Again, to our very foolish leader, do not attack syria - if you do many very bad things will happen & from that fight the u.s. Gets nothing!
 
About time say what you want about Trump but this is the right move and years too late.

I don't think it is only a coincidence that this attack takes place after Bannon's removal from his NSC post. So much for isolationism. Trump, like Obama, is a greenhorn discovering that being POTUS is not a simple, straightforward job. All the big talk now takes a back seat to the reality of global involvement. Is this what America First looks like? Welcome to the real world of global politics, President Trump. It is a humbling experience.

I don't think it's a great idea for Trump to be on the same page of the likes of McCain, Graham, Rubio & Nuland
who have been urging this type of move for 5 years. I'm for Trump but on the other hand I'm not for the
Islamic Fundamentalists who masquerade as the (Free Syrian Army)
