A lawsuit against Trump for inciting violence is moving forward. It must be nice to have his Russia problems temporarily interrupted by having to deal with the karma of being a general, all-around piece of **** instead.

A federal judge has rejected President Donald Trump’s free speech defense in a lawsuit in which he is accused of inciting violence against protesters during his campaign. Trump’s lawyers sought to dismiss the lawsuit by three protesters who say they were roughed up by Trump supporters at a March 2016 campaign rally in Louisville.

Two women and a man say they were shoved and punched by audience members as Trump directed them from the podium. Much of the scuffle was captured on video and widely broadcast during the presidential campaign. Judge David J Hale in Louisville ruled on Friday that the suit against Trump, his campaign and three of his supporters can proceed.

I would like to attack the source. A very common technique here.

Being as anti-American as they can.

I fail to see how you can attack a source for simply reporting the judges decision...

Unless you're contesting the entire story is fake?

Also this isn't a gameshow or something.

This isn't

"I would like to attack the source for 1000 Alex".

If "get 'em out of here" is inciting violence then I am a Monkeys Uncle.

So you have figured out this is a forum. Congrats.

If he had said "I, Donald Trump, hereby encourage...nay, demand...that my supporters at this rally event in Louisville, Kentucky on March 1, 2016, hereby assault these people and violently eject them from these premises in a way that mocks the very meaning of civil behavior and discourse." you would not have had a problem with it.

He could have said, "burn this bitch down". Oh, wait that isn't incitement, either.

Trump also said that he loves the "old days when protestors would leave on a stretcher". Trump also offered to pay legal fees for supporters who attack protestors. Even though, like all things Trump says, it was complete bull**** when the rubber hit the road.

You fantasies can be interesting, but let's stick with reality here.

If a simple statement to "get 'em out of here" is assumed to be a call for general (crowd?) violence then many that employ bouncers or security personnel are potentially in deep legal trouble. I find it odd that a judge would decide that these words were directed at just anyone in the crowd if Trump simply asserts that he meant them to be taken out by security personnel. This seems like a weak case to shift the blame to Trump.

Weak and alarming.

Obama said, "we're going to punish our enemies and reward our friends". Are you equally outraged? How many times did you nut up about that?

Re: Judge rejects Trump defense against claim he incited violence at rally

If all he said at that rally was "get 'em out of here" than I don't see him being found guilty. If it happened at the rally where he actually told supporters to use violence and promised that he would pay their legal bills, then I could see him losing.

the old Obama false equivalency...

It is possible that by saying "get 'em out of here", Trump was suggesting that his supporters roll out a red carpet and throw money on it for the protesters to collect as they walked out of the building

Sounds plausible, right?

The same Liberal double standard.

It borders on desperate.

If there were security personnel present then it is quite likely that defense could work. We have been assured that "burn the bitch down" was not a call for folks to start fires so anything is possible. ;)

Do they have a case? Pictures of injuries? Did Trump make his infamous "stretcher" and "I'll pay supporters who attack protestors" remarks?

Re: Judge rejects Trump defense against claim he incited violence at rally

It borders on desperate.

Civil suits can often get that way - especially with the joint and partial liability nonsense which means if you are found to be even 2% responsible (98% not responsible) then you may still have to pony up millions in damages. ;)

"Taken out of context, the elderly veteran, several others in the crowd, and I appear to be roughing up the woman because she's black," he wrote.

The incident occurred after Trump called for protesters' removal.

"Get out of here, get out of here!" the GOP presidential favorite shouted, pointing at a group of attendees. "Look at these people. Get out of here. Get Out. Out. Out Out! Get out."

Civil suits have been won on less - remember the McCoffee burns?

All of our justice system is a wreck, the civil court side has the rot bad, for sure.
