Excellent. Just as I had hoped would happen. Let these bastards live by the consequences of their votes.

Cards Against Humanity Founder Vows To Expose Lawmakers’ Web Histories

Cards Against Humanity wants to teach Republican lawmakers a lesson in internet privacy.

Max Temkin, co-founder of the irreverent card game, tweeted on Monday that if Congress passed a bill allowing telecom and cable companies to share customers’ personal information without their consent, he would buy Congress members’ web browsing histories and publish them online.

If this **** passes I will buy the browser history of every congressman and congressional aide and publish it. cc @SpeakerRyan https://t.co/cOL3mx6JuG

It isn't good to threaten publication of illegally obtained information, but I wonder, if such things shouldn't be public domain.

Hell yeah.

It isn't good to threaten publication of illegally obtained information, but I wonder, if such things shouldn't be public domain.

If the bill passes and is signed into law, he will have the legal right to buy the data (that's what the bill is for) and once he has it, he can do whatever he wants with it. So, nothing illegal act is being threatened or promised. He's telling them that he is willing to spend his own money to ensure that they will be some the first victims of their own idiotic trampling of personal privacy.

It wouldn't be illegal. If they pass this, theirs and everyone elses' browsing history can be up for legal sale by the ISP's.

Kind of missing his point. If the bill is passed it wouldn't be illegally obtained information. :)

Hell yeah!

Buy the data and post it in every Congress Critter's church bulletin, at every local polling place, and in their mailboxes addressed to their wives and kids!

It's a Republican Congress. Those holy rollers always seem to have dirt in their hidden lives!

How far back would the browsing history go? They could clean up their acts now and their past is past.

Can you imagine, there would be Vegas odds on which social conservative representative browsed gay porn sites.

I have always been a string proponent of transparency. So, if he is only saying he wants the law changed .....

Kind of missing his point. If the bill is passed it wouldn't be illegally obtained information. :)

If he isn't proposing publishing before it is legal. ... But I had actually included that, I thought.

He is not threatening the make public information that is obtained illegally.... he intends to purchase legally. That is the whole point of this exercise: to unmask the hazards of commercializing this information.

I wonder if Max lives in a glass house? Would he be okay when his data is purchased and published?

You can all stop freaking out now. This was never going to happen anyway, unless of course you still don't trust them. Then feel free to continue living in fantasy land: https://9to5mac.com/2017/04/01/internet-service-providers-wont-sell-history/

My understanding from what I have read, is that they still can't buy it.

He doesn't have to wait for anything to pass.

Nothing changes from the way it is RIGHT NOW, and always has been, if the bill is enacted.

I hope he makes good on his word. I support the bill due to the fact that only congress should be the ones making laws.Unelected officials and agencies have no business making laws. However congress can say yeah that internet privacy is a good thing lets write up a bill and hand it to Trump to sign into law.
