WASHINGTON — President Trump, trying to put the best possible face on a major defeat on Friday, dismissed the scuttled bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act as a byproduct of Democratic partisanship. He predicted that Democrats would return to him to make a deal in roughly a year.

“Look, we got no Democratic votes. We got none, zero,” Mr. Trump said in a telephone interview he initiated with The New York Times. “So when you get zero from the other side — they let us down because they’re hurting the people. The good news is they now own health care, they now own Obamacare.”

What do you suppose the color of the sky is on his planet?

Some how I was mistakenly thinking the Republicans controlled both Houses.

This was supposed to be the cakewalk and the actual fight was to occur in the Senate - where Republicans would have had to circumnavigate the filibuster.

However we failed to get even out of the Republican House.

Well, with all those overtures and propositions that Trump and Ryan were offering Democrats to work with them on healthcare it is clearly the Democrats fault...

...oh wait. I must be smoking the same crap Trump is because that never happened.

Classic Trump and why I say he is the most dangerous person to have ever occupied the Oval Office. He knows it is a lie, but could care less what anyone thinks about it and, if he is true to the usual trajectory secretly laughs at the people who buy into his bull****.

Who can honestly say that the following words do not reflect what we see in Trump: "entailing bold, disinhibited behavior, low anxiety and "feckless disregard") sic [of other's opinions]?

Can anyone disagree that Trump exhibits: "Poor impulse control including problems with planning and foresight, lacking affect and urge control, demand for immediate gratification, and poor behavioral restraints".

"including problems with planning and foresight" kind of sums up where he is on health care.

Well, boy oh boy...those words describe a psychopath.

Let's see here..............

1) Republicans own the House.

2) Republicans own the Senate.

3) Republicans own the Presidency.

4) So it's the Democrats' fault no work is getting done.

WTF is he smoking?

Cheetos. Though I suspect he snorts it.

Nah, I think he is mad enough to spit nails...But, this is 100% Republican establishment's fault....Ryan couldn't get it done. At the end of the day it is his failure. And in this case, democrats had nothing to do with this embarrassment.

You....you don't think Democrats are to blame?

As much as I want to cheer this failure I fear what the future holds. These lunatics can't even agree amongst themselves and must have a lot of pent up hate at this point. The next time they go to bat they're going to swing so hard they cleave some group of people to the bone. The other worry here is Trumps' "let Obamacare explode". That's a wonderful attitude to have for the people running the show.

Why aren't Dims proposing anything to fix O'Bamacare?

This is often the case. the GOP by definition, consist of more independent politicians than the dems The dems have always been better at collectively coming together for the good of their party. The GOP is often akin to herding cats. Dem justices on the Supreme court were a given to vote for Obamacare. we had Roberts playing lone ranger

If you don't take the time to appreciate the little victories (and this victory was not little) you're going to lose your mind. You've got a year and eight months to go. Enjoy these moments.

Okay, I'm seeing where Trump mentions not getting any votes from Dims, but where's the part about him blaming them for RINOcare not passing? Oh, that's right, it's not there.

Retarded sophomoric nonsense aside, it's still not in there. No amount of childish feet stamping will change that.

Made it a full two months without pining for the adults to be back in charge, eh? Unfortunately our electoral system doesn't allow do-overs. So we're all stuck with incompetent GOP leadership for a while.

Thats wasnt the sentiment of the Conservatives in the House that eventually killed this GOP establishment bill.

So if ObamaCare does "explode " its definately not their fault. ObamaCare still sirs firmly in the laps of the Democratic party, but I think the GOP is in for a shock if they think letting things get worse is going to work in their favor.
