In a Call to The Times, Trump Blames Democrats for the Failure of the Health Bill

And Obamacare got 0 votes from republicans, so i guess the republicans own Obamacare, too. Thanks Trump.

They needed 216 house votes. AFAIK they got 200.

It was a fools errand anyway. Get the economy rolling and when Obamacare collapses then it will get important again. 85% of the enrollees are getting some subsidy.

Again the GOP bill would have costed more and insured less. It would have "collapsed" sooner than the ACA.

Republicans are pathetic and trump supporters are idiots.
You didn't read my post huh?

That was simply nothing but a canned response, could have been in any thoughtless anti Trump anti GOP thread... :congrats:

Yeah with a bill so ****ing toxic it sent everyone running to their appropriate hills.

So in all this time, that the GOP and their base have been bitching and moaning and whining and wasting time with symbolic votes to repeal Obamacare they knew would never go through, they actually, in all that time, had not the foggiest ****ing idea what they were going to do once they were in power.

The Entire American healthcare system, pre and post Obamacare is a ****ing disgrace to any civilized nation and the GOP's attempt to "fix it" was even more so.

You forgot during the bomb's care.

Proves the GOP are free thinking and allow for disagreement. We allow different ideas, we don't enforce uniformity like the folks over in the dumb AND subservient pile.

Um...so the people who have control of the House, Senate, and executive branch do not "own" healthcare when they are literally the only ones who can do anything with it?

Seriously, it is sad you spewed that trite like you actually believed it.

No, not from a political perspective. Watch the campaigns for 2018. Obamacare and everything wrong with it will be laid at the Democrats feet. Remember not one Republican voted for it. Just its name enforces that perspective. When it comes to politics, it is the public's perceptions, not facts or truth that count. Just write this down and watch. Perception, perception, perception, not facts, not truth. Obamacare bleeds Democratic, shouts Obama and the Democrats.

It was a disappointment, no doubt about it.

But really only for strategic reasons. Now the loss definitely makes the GOP look weaker than they should...especially the House and shows Ryan is no leader. It was not a particularly good bill and I am pretty sure the establishment guy, Ryan, gave us a stinker and himself didn't really want it to pass, wanted to weaken Trump cause Ryan is on the establishment's payroll now. While that seemed clear during the campaign, its pure crystal now.

However, O bomb worse Care indeed is exploding, you Dems DO OWN it in its train wreck entirety... and Republicans were at least trying to do something about it... so, as Trump presciently said, we will, after everybody, including you Dems, are clamoring to be saved from this nightmare you have unleashed upon us, we will get a better bill.

Simple. And the midterms will benefit the GOP. I am hoping we primary Ryan and a bunch of other establishment types... get some good solid folks in there.

Comedy gold. You got it real bad.

Comedy gold. You got it real bad.

Plan B, if you can't get away with blaming the Democrats, blame Ryan.

Does anyone other than G up there actually believe Ryan came up with this monstrosity? Ryan doesn't do independence. He's a total Trump lackey.

Why aren't Dims proposing anything to fix O'Bamacare?

Because I understand that legislation in the House can only be brought up for discussion and/or vote by Speaker Ryan, and the Democratics were not contacted nor asked for input at all. The minority party can only sponsor bi-partisan legislation, which means they have to have a majority member as co-sponsor.

I'm surprised you don't know that, just as I'm surprised you don't know how to spell "Dems" when referring to a shortened form of "Democrats".

How responsible of them. So they'll take control of the country and then twiddle their thumbs. That is some great leadership right there. Rather than you know, try to make Obamacare work they'll walk away from it while nobody else has the power to affect change.

Exactly, there has been a small group of Republicans saying just that. Do nothing, let Obamacare die it natural death. One of them was scared to death that Repeal and Replace might pass. According to him, if Repeal and Replaced passed, the the Republicans owned healthcare. If it failed which it did, the Democrats still own it. Sad, yes, but true. Looking at a pure political perspective, letting Obamacare die its natural death is good for them as they will blame the Democrats. For the people, not so much.

Your silly assertion didn't really address much of anything I stated... reading comprehension problem? Processing or have a hard time disentangling then expressing what is in your noggin? Just curious.

Just like seeing the irrelevant on screen?

Was that cathartic for you? Now read my post more slowly and try again.

We'll probably never know for sure. This is too long an article to condense into a simple cut-and-past consisting of two paragraphs, but the jist of it is that Ryan deliberately sought to make a fool of Trump. Only time will tell if that's true or if that was even an especially wise plan anyway. The next week will be educational.

How Paul Ryan played Donald Trump - Vox

That would explain (if true) why Nunes took his terribly important intelligence information directly to the president without informing his own Ranking Member because (if true) Paul Ryan told him to. Anyone who's been in D.C. long enough to have a cup of coffee knows that would make Nunes look like a total fool, and should the president be impudent enough to publicly address said important intelligence information, he too would look like a total fool.

Either Paul Ryan is almost as inept as Trump, or he has cleverly manipulated the entire Trump presidency into total irelevance in two short months!

Why aren't Dims proposing anything to fix O'Bamacare?

How many amendments did GOPs get to add to ACA?

How many amendments did DEMs get to add to trumpcare ?

I would further opine that Ryan clears everything with McConnell .

Oh I read your post alright. You claimed the republicans were trying to do something about it but they weren't . They have no idea how to make anything better they only know how to serve themselves.

When saddled with an ignorant, lazy, totally inept president, Ryan and McConnell plan to run the country themselves by sending whatever they want up to the Oval Office with a big orange sticker that says "sign here".

And you know what? Trump will just do it because he's bored already, having delegated the entire job to others in bits and pieces, and having nothing to showboat for himself at the moment. Except running down to the Mack Truck Factory during this crushing loss to glad-hand and play with a truck horn.

He's also forgetting the 161 GOP amendments and 4 separate planks that GOPs were allowed to add to ACA, as well as DEMs pulling the public option to get GOP votes .

They refuse to step up to try to help to fix the huge program that they hugely botched...damn right they carry blame!

I don't know if any of what you said was true, but it's absolutely deserving of a long-running House of Cards subplot.

Which is how we got McConnell's choice for the USSC.

I believe trump's beginning to realize that Bannon can't save him from Ryan and McConnell when they pull his plug with these congressional investigations.

The biggest difference between trump and Nixon at this point is Nunes is completely compromised .

Ripped from the headlines, lol. Nunes did indeed say that Paul Ryan told him to take the information directly to the WH! He said it in one of the three... or was it four?... press conferences he gave that day.

Okay, we propose to fix the problems of the ACA by making it UHC.

Next?
