Republicans Yank Obamacare Repeal Bill

You gotta remember, this is the same brain trust that shut the government down a few years back because they wanted a vote on an Obamacare repeal bill that they knew would never get signed into law.

What's funny to me is that Americans are so angry about nothing in certain parts of this country, they elected people who were never expected to do anything other than stop Democrats from passing legislation. They are against everything. The right way to govern isn't to stop funding, it's to make funding more efficient. Instead of repealing the ACA, fix it. What troubles me is that, just how far-left liberals call for certain gun restrictions just because it makes us feel warm and fuzzy like we did "something," far-right conservatives call for harming the lives of our most vulnerable citizens and that actually makes them warm and fuzzy like we did "something."

I dunno if I buy that. The reason ACA passed, at least in part, is they did not rush it, they kept at it until they had something that would pass. Trump was in a hurry, so this never had the chance to go through that process of negotiation, compromise, and finding something that enough people could agree on.

Again, that depends on the subject, and of course the point of view. Like when they wanted to gut our 4th, 5th, and 8th Amendment Protections to stop people that had been put on a government list by unelected bureaucrats from being able to exercise their 2nd Amendment Right. That was pretty Orwellian/Tyrannical evil.

That's fine with me. Now I wonder if what Trump said this morning is true? He said if it didn't pass today, he was through with healthcare. It doesn't sound like he's through though. If the bill was pulled, no vote. He said if it was defeated, so that gives him a way out. Pulled is different than defeated. Now we will wait and see if the GOP tries again. If it was me, I would leave Obamacare as is. It seems today more Americans want it than for it to be repealed. I can live with that, if that is what most Americans want.

2: Trump is going to make comments from the Oval Office soon(tm).

trump is blaming everybody but himself. Gingrich was classic with his 17% comment .
 
The hell of it is, what they really need to do is just reform and fix the ACA. Of course they can't because they have ran for years on repealing it.

I think what most Americans want is for the ACA to be fixed and reformed rather than repealed.
