US Officials: Info suggests Trump associates may have coordinated with Russians - CNNPolitics.com

[FONT=CNN, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Utkal, sans-serif]The FBI has information that indicates associates of President Donald Trump communicated with suspected Russian operatives to possibly coordinate the release of information damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign, US officials told CNN.

I'm as tired of "allegation" leaks from "anonymous but highly placed government sources" posted by anti-administration forces as I am Mr. Trump's foolish use of Twitter. (I don't use social media and I am appalled by anyone who thinks Twitter is anything more than a gossip site.)

I also find it funny that both sides think it is fake news (or lies) when the other side uses this tactic, but brilliant truth when they do.

Didn't claim this as "brilliant truth". Our news-entertainment must always be taken with a grain of salt. It's just a counter to the propaganda of the other side trying to purport Obama Shadow Government and other stuff.

I doubt we'll ever actually know one way or the other. The Republocrats didn't get where they are at through honest investigation and accountability.

Without those "allegation leaks", Nixon would never have been busted for Watergate. Remember Deep Throat? I think her sister, Sore Throat, is at work here.

So far the anonymous sources have been largely accurate, with Trump attacking the leaking rather than the content of the leaks. That said, I'm happy to cool my heels at least a couple days for the accuracy of the leaks to be verified.

Considering the hard evidence on Manafort, Comey's testimony, and Schiff making a very clear statement that there is real evidence against the Trump administration; I'd say it's pretty obvious this isn't just "allegation".

You mean like the "hard evidence" that Comey thought was not a prosecutable offence in that "private server" issue way back when?

So far there is no "hard evidence" of anything, and hasn't been to date.

I would say that you are right on members of Trump's transition team, but I believe that Trump himself is not the target of any investigation.

Let's be clear. Hard evidence that Clinton may have violated state department rules in the use of a private server is not the same as colluding with a foreign government to weaken a political opponent during a national election.

Republicans were trying to nail Clinton in a lie as perjury is a far more serious offense than breaking a State Department rule.

If Donald Trump has any role in any aspect of collusion with a foreign government's officials...that is no doubt an impeachable offense.

So far these leaks have been accurate, with Trump and his team denying them, then furiously trying to plug them as their voracity became apparent.

So I too will chill and observe, but straight-up it does appear his campaign may be culpable the way it's looking.

And while others feel free to theorize the campaign may be at fault but likely not Trump, I'll also withold claims on that - I think he indeed is capable of fixing the election!

I never know how to interpret the euphemisms used to describe proximity to someone: Trump associate: That could be just about anyone. I believe a Trump associated lost the election last year, another vacated the Presidency, and another won the Super Bowl.
