Judging by the comment he follows up his citation of 9:29 with (in post # 464), his understanding appears to be that 9:29 is also a call to subdue the rest of the surrounding world (or whatever parts of it are accessible) in order to be able to apply that specific call to all and sundry.

That understanding is as erroneous as many of the other interpretations he derives from "merely" reading somebody else's holy book.

One might as well consider somebody who has memorized the bible (OT and NT) in every word (but having done nothing else on the issue) to be thus exclusively qualified to explain Christianity. "Exclusively" as in excluding all others that have gone beyond simple text reading and learning.

As such these ad verbatim citations of the book completely ignore such legal findings as Al-Azhar University of Cairo (easily the most renowned body of scholarship on Islam) arrives at. Not to mention countless other verdicts of Islamic jurisprudence.

Even if a poster can recite the complete Qur'an from memory, a scholar that alone doth not make.

There was no immigration connection and no assimilation connection, as desperate as you and the others were to make it so. This was a home grown nut, just like Tim McVeigh and Adam Lanza.

I heard an earlier report that said his father was muslim but it appears you are correct.

You mentioned the Sandy Hook boy, Adam Lanza. Yes, I also mentioned him a few times in my posts in this thread. This idiot is London is no different in any way than Adam Lanza, with the exception that Lanza went into a school and killed a bunch of terrified first graders. He was a home grown, Christian-raised murderer, no more and no less. But that didn't stop the usual Islamaphobic Trumpkins from making this story something that it wasn't - and embarrassing themselves in the process. I expect nothing less from them at this point.
