Nearly half of Canadians want to deport people who are illegally crossing into Canada from the United States, and a similar number disapprove of how Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is handling the influx, according to a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Monday.

The illegals entering Canada are a drop in the bucket, I wonder what the poll numbers would be when 3 to 10% of your population is illegal invaders scamming the system?

Those Canadians... Such intolerance... tsk, tsk, tsk.

How dare they complain about illegal immigration when some of them are good people? ;)

It is an enigma among people in how they can be so sure and self righteous in these matters until they are personally faced with the effects of them. Dealing with something up close and personal is a quick and effective education.

I'm surprised they called them "illegals"!!! ... and not just "immigrants", as the Propagandists Inspired by Goebbels (PIGs) tend to do... incorrectly and endlessly.

Oh, come on. Just because they were intolerant to Trump's assertion that ten million illegals were too many to keep....

;)

Good point. Calling them "undocumented" is more accurate - I wonder if Canada will deport them (back?) to the US lacking such documentation as to determine where else to dump them. ;)

****ing racist Canadians.

I think the US ought to ENCOURAGE and facilitate the safe passage of illegal immigrants through America into Canada. Latinos should be able to go to Canada and enjoy the benefit of a socialized society. They should be able to find work there, have social services provided for them...its such a vast country it should be able to support 20-30 million illegals EASILY.

Using the customs of this forum where canadians lecture us about what our immigration policy should be canadians must listen to what Sweden or New Zealand tell them their immigration laws must allow.

Its only fair

To put it in perspective: If it is true that the US has 20 million illegal immigrants, then that is the equivalent of Canada having 2.2 million illegals. So yeah, I think their opinions would change considerably if Canada was suddenly inundated by illegal residents taking advantage of their public services.

There is plenty of room.

Hmmmm...."almost half want x." Isn't that another way of saying "over half do not want x"?

There is plenty of room.
Indeed...and with all their blather...I cant see how they could POSSIBLY object to a mass influx of illegal immigrants.

2.2 millions would be equivalent in some respects. But it is a huge country. It can handle many more.

Undocumented is when you show up to change your car registration having forgotten your car title papers.

Illegal is when you steal the car.

Illegal is when you steal the car.

A better analogy would be driving on public roadways with or without first obtaining a driver's license, vehicle registration and liability insurance. Laws are not intended to be mere suggestions - enforcement is key to having effective laws.

In this case, no.
Go to the article and watch the video.
They use pie charts for easy understanding.

The illegal issue in the US isn't a space issue either, it is financial.

I already did that. I have no idea why you're disagreeing.

Good morning, AlbqOwl. :2wave:

Yep, I sure agree with your post! Unfortunately, it's rarely something you'd love to deal with, like "whatever will I do with all the lottery money I just won?" :lamo

Well, since 'undocumented' means they do not have the proper documentation to be in the country legally, would that not make them 'illegal'? And I resist the term 'undocumented' because so many DID have the proper visa (documentation) to be here when they came here. They just didn't go home when the term stated on the visa ended.

I prefer the term 'alien intruder' for those who come here to do illegal activities or 'illegal immigrant' for those who illegally come here to stay without sugar coating to make it sound like something different. Just as I prefer to call Islamic radical extremist terrorism what it is instead of trying to sanitize that with a less specific term.

The US should refuse them. Send 'em back from their country of origin. They obviously feel threatened in America.

In order for there to be hypocrisy you need to show that the Canadians who disapprove of Trump deporting illegals are the same Canadians who want their own illegals deported.

I think American groups should take a page from the Mexicans, and create information pamphlets about getting to Canada, and how to game their welfare system to the max.

I'd fund that, plus a few dozen buses to transport those who feel threatened, and want to escape.

That's pretty lame considering the Euro-styled anti-American sentiment that runs through Canada.

I think we can fairly say, that when confronted with reality, vs. their words... Kanuckistani's are hypocrites.

Obviously you didn't as the chart contain those who do not know.

This is what you stated.

Isn't that another way of saying "over half do not want x"?
What you stated is incorrect in relation to this thread.
