Tweeting a day after an awkward meeting with German leader Angela Merkel, Trump demanded Berlin should cough up billions of Euros more on defence.

They crap on the US, while America freed them twice, defended them from the USSR, and then they don't pay their fair share.

I can agree with that. The job of our military should be limited to protecting the interest of our country, our people, and our property.

*In Germany it's possible... that's why it's ridiculous to own rental property there. The renters have more rights than the owner. You can go bankrupt thanks to a few rogue renters.

Germany was paying the rent and planned to pay more....but apparently it wasn't enough for Trump.

So what is Trump going to do if small NATO countries can't afford to pay more for US protection...let Russia invade and take over their countries?

It does.

We have an agreement, as a renter has an agreement.

They agreed to pat "X". They haven't.

So, the ingrates must be shamed into paying.

They can pay... if they choose not to, and would like to pay in another manner... that is their choice.

They may be stupid, but they're not suicidal. Then again... I'm not so sure about that either considering their idiocy with Muslim Invaders.

Would be fine by me... but the problem is these folks, like the Kanuckistani's are incapable of defending themselves. Their military might be capable of defending say, Moscow, Idaho for a few weeks before surrendering.

They've depleted their militaries, spent stupid on Socialist schemes, are swimming in debt (as we are), and then think they can freeload on us.

Good thing Trump is in office to set the record straight.

Small countries have small bills... it's the Big Freeloaders who need to pony up. The small ones will too.

Hell, if Finland could pay its war debt pronto (has anyone else) after WWII... these folks can find a way to pony up to ensure the Red Menace is kept at bay.
