Obama freaked out our allies in the ME and former Eastern Europe.
He pulled the defense shield right after coming into office. A payback to Russians? He was caught on a hot mic sucking Medvedev's dick, and telling him Putin will get service too... after the election when he had more "flexibility".
Tell me... how do you think our allies looked at that?
Obama didn't lead. He let the ME turn into a flaming turd, allowing ISIS to wreck havoc. Now Europe is paying the price for his idiocy. (That the EU was totally unprepared tells you about how incompetent those fools are).
In the ME... those who want to see Crazy Iran contained, saw Obama give a billion to the morons... illegally... and a pathway to nukes.
He turned down assistance to help defeat ISIS.
Obama did great damage... perhaps it explains why the NATO nations were not eager to pony up money.
Trump is changing that.
As for trade... these countries need us more than we need them. Trump is negotiating on behalf of America, and he is sending signals to other countries that he wants fair and free trade... no more "leading from behind", and no more bending over and taking it in the behind.
He is putting America's interests first, and that means fair trade deals. It does us no good to wallop trade partners with on-sided deals as they had. He's not stupid.
As an aside, what's funny (in a sad, sick way), is looking back to Obama and the many times he claimed to put a "laser-like focus on the economy". Well... we now know, he's an economic illiterate... his laser had no batteries.
Demokrats might like things they way they were... but they're not in charge any longer... Thank God.
