White House: Trump paid $38 million in income tax in 2005

Totally irrelevant since federal employees also have to do financial disclosures.

I'm lost. It's entirely relevant that POTUS has more power than a clerk in the Senate office bldg mail room, or a Congressman, or one of 30k employees over at State.

Yes, some do financial disclosures. And.....? I guess I'm not supposed to care about the Trump's tax return because people not POTUS have to disclose less than POTUS? Although many cabinet appointments are at least required to submit tax returns to the committees. I can't connect the dots there.

POTUS is unique, perhaps the most powerful leader in the free world, and the question is whether or not he should be transparent about his financial entanglements by disclosing his tax return. What Harry Reid did or what some clerk at DoJ is required to do has no bearing on the issue.

Did you or any news agency ask for it when he became a senator? Why only the President? What's your dog in the fight besides "I hate Trump"? I don't have one because I was against tax returns during the campaign even for Hillary. They mean nothing.

How about these questions:

1) Relevant or not relevant at all that Bill Clinton was paid nearly $20 million by for profit education outfits?

2) Relevant or not relevant at all that both Bill and Hillary Clinton were paid many $millions giving speeches to among others all the big boys on Wall Street?

I can't imagine anyone trying to argue that when the Feds make decisions about federal dollars flowing to for profit education outfits that it would have been irrelevant that the first spouse was on their payroll and made cumulatively approaching $20 million from them, which we know from their tax returns. Those outfits paying Bill don't believe it was money wasted. I'm also positive that GS and CITI and the rest who paid Hillary believed it was money well spent. So why are you insisting that the public knowing this and how much is irrelevant and that in fact POTUS should keep this secret?

The problem was paying for access to Sec State. That is an ethics violation according to regulation. That was my only concern about the Clinton Foundation while Hillary was in office. Trump just got into office.

OK, so you're evading the question because you know it's relevant, period, that Bill was a flack for for-profit education outfits as recently as 2015. At any rate, it's highly relevant to me and many others, I'm sure of that. Similarly, what Hillary was paid and by whom between Sec of State and candidate for POTUS was also highly relevant to me, and many others.

I didn't ask about a clerk in the Senate.

Right, you mentioned an incredibly broad class of federal workers - "since federal employees also have to do financial disclosures" - that would include those clerks, and Congressmen, and all the employees at state, who I also specifically referred to.....

Again, "POTUS is unique, perhaps the most powerful leader in the free world, and the question is whether or not he should be transparent about his financial entanglements by disclosing his tax return. What Harry Reid did or what some clerk at DoJ is required to do has no bearing on the issue."

It's not about Reid or any other "federal employee."

Well, at least now you are not denying the lies you posted.

It's your liberal news that reported Hillary's nonsense . We all knows she is incapable of telling the truth !

Yet you posted the lie.

Indeed facts are facts and the fact is that you posted a lie.

I submitted several links and showed you were Hillary claimed INCORRECTLY Trump paid NO taxes , yet you continue to call me a liar ????

By anyone with an eye and a brain.

Oh, and Snopes. By Snopes.

Any publication funded by Nazi collaborator George Soros is removed from consideration. They are even more discredited than CNN and Buzzfeed.

I noticed you never tried to argue away the fact that in one of his own books he describes himself as foreign born. Like I said when it was to his advantage the Weasel in Chief never hesitated to use the foreign born card.

Besides, they say things you don't want to believe. Can't trust them furriners, you know.

The posts are there for anyone to read. I see you still did not have it read to you.

Exactly and your posts are lies , lie after lie . Democrats have a difficult time with the truth .

Hopefully someone will hack into your private records and release them for all to see. Since you advocate that sort of treatment for others, lets hope it happens to you sometime. Trump isn't the only 'slimy, pathetic' person that deserves this sort of treatment.

Were I a public figure, if they did it would not bother me in the slightest.

Being a nobody I would just scratch my head and wondered why they cared.

Bu bye now.

2005 is neither current nor what is traditionally provided by presidential candidates/presidents.

All presidential candidates for the past 40 years have willingly released their tax returns (oftentimes a decade's worth) for public perusal. Until Donald Trump. According to the IRS, nothing whatsoever is preventing Trump from releasing his tax returns, even during an IRS audit. If any errors should come to light during an audit, Trump can simply amend his tax return and re-submit. I can only conclude then that Trump purposefully chose to conceal his tax returns from the American people because they contain something or some things that are politically toxic ... high gambling losses, embarrassing donations, offshore accounts, business ventures with mafia type's, loans from Russian banks, etc. etc.

Trump has also willfully elected to not place his business empire in a true blind trust. In a true blind trust, Trump would have absolutely no contact whatsoever with the trust manager. Trump has appointed his two oldest sons to manage his business empire but they have contact with their father virtually every day. Thus, this arrangement is not a true blind trust and Trumps arrangement here can be easily manipulated for conflict-of-interest profiteering.

Trump is also taking advantage of his office to publicize his Mar-a-Lago resort. Every weekend he spends at Mar-a-Lago generates millions of dollars of free global/national publicity for this resort (his business).
