Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fascist?'

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

Ya think that if she were pasty faced with blue eyes that he would of quipped "we allow you to live in our country"?

Maybe this would depend on whether she had a strong accent.;)

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

It's completely and totally possible the he was calling her an asshole (or whatever) in a "nice" way. Instead, you assume racial malice, need evidence of this intentional racial malice please.

... He was calling her an asshole by saying she should be grateful she's allowed to stay in a country she was born in? Weird way to call somebody 'asshole'.

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

I don't even believe you understand the term "liberal", let alone "libertarian".

Do you understand what the term authoritarian means?

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

This woman is probably a snowflake

Most likely an academic of some sort who saw her big chance to be on tv

Whatever else she is, she's classless and lacks impulse control.

Sure.
Kinda like "bless your heart."

Depends on where you live and the context it's used, it is an insult.

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

In the video the woman put her hand on Spicer

That could be considered assault

Classless and lacks impulse control, sounds familiar.

Sorry. Try Google. I'm not responsible for filling in your every gap in knowledge.
Do your own homework for a change.

So I take it that you won't defend your belief that Trump is an authoritarian. Good to know.

Except he didn't say that. He didn't say she should be grateful she's allowed to stay.

Really? I can find a few definitions for bless your heart, some of them just mean bless your heart, some of them mean **** you. I've never heard of calling somebody an asshole by saying they should be thankful they are allowed to stay in a country they were born in. Is being an asshole something you can be removed from the US for?

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

... Well you're the one saying that he could possibly have said it because she's a really meanie beanie woman. I assure you that being mean or an asshole is not going to get you removed from any country... and if Sean Spicer thinks that, he's as idiotic as your quip.

No it won't. But if you behave like a **** master, don't be surprised when one treats you like a dick. That's all.

This lady was just throwing dumb crap out there, and she got a backhanded comment in return. Despite the fact that he said something rude back to this piece of work, in that exchange, Spicer still came out looking the better.

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

Why should I bother explaining my point to you when you can't be bothered to learn the definitions of basic political terms?

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

Yes, it is not proper and decent what Spicer said about "such a great country that allows you to be here", just because she is from immigrant background (but born and raised in the US).

But, and this is a more important thing, even though Spicer is the mouth/lie piece of the Orange Buffoon, that woman had no right to publicly bother Sean Spicer like that. He was a private citizen doing his shopping (or whatever he was doing there) and should not be accosted verbally for doing his job like this woman did, and especially not the words she used.

Again, he didn't say that. You have literally changed what he said to mean something much worse than he actually said.

I'm pretty sure I know more about political philosophy than you, but you're free to prove me wrong. Oh right, you refuse to even bother with that. lol

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

Except he didn't say that. He didn't say she should be grateful she's allowed to stay.

So... what's the point of this? Spicer replied: “Such a great country that allows you to be here.” How is she 'allowed' to stay in a country she was born in?

Just because you've never heard of it is meaningless.
You've taken this quip to some retarded extreme, as if he would even think about that.

Why do you assume it is racially motivated?

"Such a great country that allows a verbal accoster like you to be here an Apple store and bother a government official on their free time."

See how easy that is? Has nothing to do with race or where someone was born, but rather the greatness of our country to allow someone to be a jerk to their government, even when the government official is off the clock.

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

Sure, but what relevance does that have to one's legal status? Is there a situation in which being an asshole would affect your legal status as a citizen?

"Such a great country that allows a verbal accoster like you to stand in an Apple store and bother a government official on their free time."

See how easy that is? Has nothing to do with race or where someone was born, but rather the greatness of our country to allow someone to be a jerk to their government, even when the government official is off the clock.

But you've added those words...

"America Love It Or Leave It" has been around longer than the Indian woman and was used toward white hippy progressives burning the American flag during the vietnam war protests

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

But you've added those words...
And YOU added words. You added:

"Such a great country which allows a non-white person to be here in my country".

That's what you're claiming he said. YOU'RE adding words. The difference between our interpretation is mine fits much more closely to his overall demeanor, his previous statements in the video and the fact my interpretation can be applied equally to anyone who is being a jerk, which this person was.

You're adding words in a sinister way and I'm interpreting his words to mean something I've said to people before, which has nothing to do with race, a phrase which is not unheard of in America (for non racist reasons).

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

Just because you've never heard of it is meaningless.

Well, find us some examples of it. I can find tons of examples for bless your heart, I've never heard of somebody's legal citizen status be used to call them an asshole.

You've taken this quip to some retarded extreme, as if he would even think about that. Why do you assume it is racially motivated?

You get to be mod again if you find me mentioning anything being racially motivated.

Re: Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple store: 'How does it feel to work for a fasci

Agreed.
It should not be expected. Just because someone else is rude and dishonest doesn't mean you should be to. It's called integrity and some people care about it.
You're assuming the response is racial. I would say the same thing to anyone who was rude, including a white male like myself.

Spicer didn't use any racial epithets. And his statement has been used by many people many times in ways which have nothing to do with race. And considering the actions of the woman, I have a hard time taking her opinion on this situation seriously. She has no credibility in my eyes.
As is he.

Or maybe he just saw a rude person and said that. Which is something similar I've said to many people over the years, which has nothing to do with race.
You're assuming that it is. As I said, I would say the same thing to any person, regardless of gender or race.

I haven't seen the video, have only read about it. But from what I've read, there's nothing which suggests to me Spicer was referring to race, but rather her incredibly rude and obnoxious behavior. Anyone who has followed my posts knows I rarely defend the nonsense which has come out of this administration, but this is one time where I am. I don't think his comment was race related, but rather related to how rude and obnoxious the person was. If it had been a white man accosting Spicer, I think he would have been just as likely to say the same thing at that moment.

EDIT: I went ahead and watched the video and I'm even more convinced this has nothing to do with race. Spicer even says a time or two before the statement that America is a great country. I'm sorry, I don't see race in his comment, only someone being remarkably restrained while a jerk is rudely accosting him.

You have yet to explain "a country that allows you to be here" in any context. Where is "here" and who is "allowing" it? Now if he had said "a country that allows you to say (ask?) that" then I might concur. But with some bigots recently telling "foreign looking" folks to get out of "our country" this was a very odd way of making an alleged "rude behavior" point.
