Spicer: Trump didn't mean wiretapping when he tweeted about wiretapping

Of-course there was surviellance and I think the average American knows that no President directly orders surveillance, its done through their DOJ.

We know there was leaked conversations between the President and Foreign leaders, Flynns calls were leaked to WaPo and the names of Trumps associates were leaked also leaked

All this was done under the pretense that Trump somehow colluded with the Russians to swing the election. The reality is the Obama admin used the Russian narrative to justify covert surviellance to dig up dirt, ANY dirt on a opposing Presidential candidate

The leaks are illegal, and fortunately the Senate Committee looking into the leaks knows their identity

Enough, Fenton. Trump blew the deadline for providing evidence for his accusation. Read the OP: Spicer admitted Trump was lying.

Well, according to spicer, because he used air quotes that time, we should have known he was lying.

What Trump supporters are having such a difficult time coming to grips with is why it is exactly that lying so often is such a problem. Look, in the large scheme of things, lying about a previous President committing a major felony is actually not that bad. It's certainly pretty awful unto itself, but compared to really bad things, it's not. No, the reason his lying is such a problem is that eventually something truly awful will happen to the country, and we will need to be able to look to the President for a serious response...and we will have long since concluded that he cannot be taken seriously. That is a horrific reality to live with in the coming years.

He's lost all credibility on pretty much every subject. Counter-terrorism, crime rates, immigration, climate change, health care. If he makes any statement that includes a statistic or that would normally be supported by research it's automatically hucked into the cuckoo for coco puffs bin. The scary part is eventually, there will be some preventable national emergency and the President won't be taken seriously by his own people or foreign nations.

Yeah, I don't even think it's funny anymore.

So every time he says something, we're supposed to wonder if he's being serious, if he's being facetious, if he's lying, if he's joking, if he really means it....

And as soon as you figure out which one it is you are told that it's subject to change.

Hilarious that there are still a couple of people here who defend or excuse absolutely everything and anything Trump does. How is that possible? My head would explode.

So the wiretap claim was an exaggeration? Even though Trump tweeted "How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process.", and Spicer also said that the tweets "speak for itself" its just an exaggeration? :lamo
Who knew that "air quotes" have "air consequences"

Trump Adoration Syndrome. There are quite a few posters suffering from it.

I don't get it either. It's insane.

Sounds interesting, what is your source for this statement?

Senator Cotton's heading up the Senate investigation into the leaks. In this interview whith O'reilly on the 7th he tells Bill if you want to know who he leakers are look to leaving Obama Political appointees...

He also says his committee is making progress in the investigations

Doesn't look good for Trump on this one.

The leaks? Are you aware that you're in the wrong thread?

Actually the DOJ was given another week

So, they managed to convince the intelligence committees to hold off until the 20th
The intelligence comittee gave them extra time for a reason, and its not because they have nothing whatsoever.

Again, if they were no wiretaps was the NYTs article from January 20th a complete fabrication ? And how did Trumps calls get leaked, and the names of Flynn and Trumps asaociates ?

You're embarrassing yourself.

Well, in this case, actually more properly labeled an understatement.

Trump's campaign, parts thereof that we have yet to discover the extent, were being surveilled by our government's executive branch = the O bomb.

To get that close to an active opposing party's inner sanctum during a critical presidential election cycle... and not overstep... would be a real needle to thread. Seems to me somebody had to have something more than what has been currently divulged to indicate anywhere near the imminent threat required to go over the line into investigating on the opposing party. That, without almost 100% near certainty, should be taboo.

But more than Nixon, they ultimately felt they would win the election and it could all be smoothed over later. Especially since Watergate, right?

Ha ha, Trump messed that up for them good. Gotta love that guy.

Your loyalty is cute. But Trump lies hiss ass off daily. No disputing that.
Nowhere near the depth nor the breadth of the O bomb.

When Trump comes anywhere near rivaling the famous O bomb health care lies, doctor, plan, reductions in premiums etc, or the Benghazi video lies, all the "we will get no rest until...blah blah...", " I didn't call the Islamic state a JV team..." blah blah blah.

Trump exaggerates misspeaks, has errors in his tweets perhaps... that is nothing of much consequence in the totality of things.

It would be easier for you if you just came to terms with the fact that Trump is a textbook narcissist and a pathological liar. Just admit that to yourself. It doesn't mean you don't have to support his agenda, its just a recognition of reality.

Obama was a textbook narcissist and a liar and Obama's lies were actually consequential.
You people never had a problem with a lying narcissist as a President until now.

As for the wiretapps, the NYTs reported there were wiretaps on Janauary 20th. It was front page news then

Please, have some dignity. Think of your children. If you don't have children, imagine your parents are reading your posts right now.

They can ask for all the time the universe has before it finally collapses on itself. Spicer already admitted Trump was lying.

You're embarrassing yourself.

And the NYTs ? They were lying too when they reported that intel from wiretapped converstations between Trumps associates and Russian intel were being used to investigate Trumps alledged Russian connections and collusions ?

Right back at you buddy.

Wow, you found it, Fenton! You found the smoking gun! I can only wonder why the White House felt the need to ask for more time to present evidence!

Seriously, imagine your mother is reading this thread right now and is quietly judging you.

Yes they do. That is why not a shred of evidence was presented before the deadline yesterday, and also why the administration is busting their asses trying to walk those tweets back.
