These leaked records show that Alfa Bank servers repeatedly looked up the unique internet address of a particular Trump Organization computer server in the United States. In the computer world, it's the equivalent of looking up someone's phone number -- over and over again. While there isn't necessarily a phone call, it usually indicates an intention to communicate, according to several computer scientists.

What puzzled them was why a Russian bank was repeatedly looking up the contact information for mail1.trump-email.com. Publicly available internet records show that address, which was registered to the Trump Organization, points to an IP address that lives on an otherwise dull machine operated by a company in the tiny rural town of Lititz, Pennsylvania. From May 4 until September 23, the Russian bank looked up the address to this Trump corporate server 2,820 times -- more lookups than the Trump server received from any other source.

As noted, Alfa Bank alone represents 80% of the lookups, according to these leaked internet records. Far back in second place, with 714 such lookups, was a company called Spectrum Health. Spectrum is a medical facility chain led by Dick DeVos, the husband of Betsy DeVos, who was appointed by Trump as U.S. education secretary.

This article from Fortune.com might not help to shed light on matters. It might not draw any solid conclusions, but if you consider what the dossier said about meetings between members of Team Trump and Russian government officials in Ukraine (i.e., Paul Manafort), it might help explain why a bank in the Ukraine would be trying to communicate with a server run by the Trump campaign.

Lol !! So Trump tower was bugged ?
Hate to burst your bubble, but if there was ANY evidence of collusion between Trump and or Trump associates and Russia, it would have been released weeks ago, right along with Flynns transcript. Obama Political appointees and cronies had no problem committing felonies by releasing the transcripts of Flynns call or the names of Americans citizens who were on the receiving end of these wiretaps, so why would they stop there ?

They wouldn't, any evidence that backed up this conspiracy lunacy would have been leaked immediately, and it wasn't. It wasn't leaked because it didn't exist. Clapper said there was no evidence of collusion, I dont get why thats not good enough for all these angry HRC supporters but then again.

The " Resistance " doesn't want a investigation, they want a conviction and will settle for nothing less

I hate to pop your bubble but very little from the investigations has been released to the public. Most of what we do know comes from investigative journalism...and leaks. Most of what we know from the WH are lies and cover ups...which only fuels more speculation and more investigations.

Clapper seemed to believe the dossier enough to include in with Trumps classified briefing and to investigate it. A lot of things mentioned in the dossier are now proving to be true...such as several of Trump's campaign surrogates did have contact with Russians during the campaign. We might not have known that had there not been an investigation....and we might not have thought anything of it...had Trump's surrogates not lied about it.

I posted on a few of Trump Tower phones being wire tapped treads that the article I read about FISA warrant second request was to collect data from a sever regarding contacts with a couple of Russian banks ....not phones.

They wanted to look at emails and documents .

The first [FISA] request, which, sources say, named Trump, was denied back in June, but the second was drawn more narrowly and was granted in October after evidence was presented of a server, possibly related to the Trump campaign, and its alleged links to two banks; [sic] SVB Bank and Russia’s Alfa Bank. While the Times story speaks of metadata, sources suggest that a FISA warrant was granted to look at the full content of emails and other related documents that may concern US persons.

The article says nothing about Trump Tower being bugged.

Trump Tower is located in New York.

According the OP article the Russian bank was making contact with a Trump Computer located in a rural town in, Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Publicly available internet records show that address, which was registered to the Trump Organization, points to an IP address that lives on an otherwise dull machine operated by a company in the tiny rural town of Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Yes, yes, yes.

Trump and his staff initially maintained that there had been no contract with the Russians. And then we find out there was. Next we heard that the contacts were merely coincidental. And then we found out they weren't. Then we heard that the contacts were few. And then we found out that the contacts were numerous involving more than a couple of staff. Then we heard that the contacts per staff member were inconsequential. And then we heard that some of the meetings weren't inconsequential. On and on and on. I can find more, we all can, with information readily available on the internet.

I'd like to add that the information we have at this point is not hidden. It is accessible to everyone.

As you pointed out so well, we do know that Trump surrogates lied. We now know that Trump lied. Why have they felt compelled to lie?

I am not sure that bad things would be leaked immediately. A well orchestrated drip might seem better to someone like Putin. Dark mumbling and shrill hysteria in waves would do much more thorough a job in discrediting American democracy and societal order. Obama and his friends might be bitter bit players in this. They seem back biters and less the high class strategists or superior tacticians this would require.

Thanks for the link. It is interesting in as far as it indicates how communications traffic is analysed and how careful one should be, before reading things into selected items that one would love to be true.
As the article points out, "this isn't how two entities would communicate if they wanted to keep things secret".

Donald and his associates say things all the time that are easily proven to be false. Nobody ever said they were good at hiding their dirty laundry. Given the events and revelations over the last few months - they clearly aren't. I'm going with the experts on this one.
