Michael Flynn's lobbying firm received $530,000 from Turkish client

Not everything. I don't much care about the ***** grabbing or illicit deal making, but knowingly putting a plant on the NSC, if he did, crosses a verboten line.

You'd have to prove that....In this day and age, it seems rather ignorant to take any media outlets word for anything....

The meaning of "if he did" is if he did.

The meaning of "if he did" is if he did.

Simply posing an "if he did" question is meaningless...There is no proof there that the Trump administration knowingly kept Flynn on while knowing that he was working as a lobbyist for the Turkish government....And if you ask me, I think that finding this out makes more sense for letting him go, than some phony scandal about speaking with the Russian ambassador...

And remember...of all the people Trump could have chose....this loser was Trump's Number One choice for National Security Advisor.

Never forget that.

Trump is a buffoon.

Once again, I have zero loyalty to any political party or movement.
We can agree he was a bad choice, all things considered. But the fact that so many are totally up in arms over Flynn while those same people EAGERLY rushed to the polls to vote for a woman who's "foundation" was pulling in MILLIONS while she was making deals at the State Department makes all this look rather hypocritical and petty.

Kinda like the entire 'resist' movement.

Hillary Clintons foundation raked in MILLIONS AND MILLIONS from foreign governments and 'private' donors...and 65 million people couldnt give a **** less.

Never forget THAT while you are roiling in poutrage.

Why should I care?

I said time and again that both candidates were pathetic. He is a buffoon and she was a lazy, corrupt bitch.

Never forget that they next time you try and teach me on which party is worse...both are terrible.

And next time, ask me what I think before you tell me.

All I said was Trump made a horrible pick and people should nevefr forget it. There was no poutrage.

If anyone is acting condescending and holier-than-thou here - it is you.

Now adios...I have better things to do than waste my time with people who condescend and presuppose what others think without even bothering to ask them.

Bu bye now.

Michael Flynn, former national security adviser, has confirmed his lobbying firm carried out $530,000 worth of work that may have helped the Turkish government in the run-up to the US election...

What happened to everyone signing that NO LOBBYING agreement?

If this is true then he probably needs to sit next to hillary in jail.

He had to see this coming a mile off and thats why he dropped off the radar.

Wow, almost no solid information in that article. Flynn's firm (nothing saying Mike Flynn was even there) did lobbying for a businessman that MAY have benefited the government? Then there was a meeting that somebody was at, apparently not Flynn, that some Turkish officials were at?

So, what did Flynn do, exactly? There is nothing in the article that indicates Flynn was doing anything other than sitting home having coffee. Is there anything else to this?

You know, it would be nice if some people paid closer attention to posts that they comment on. The post wasn't a question. It was opinion that if the report is correct Trump should be forced from office. The potential seriousness is much more about him than it is about Flynn. While "there is no proof" yet, as you say, there are multiple reports that members of Trump's staff knew of the connection prior to Flynn's appointment. It would be extraordinary if staff members did know and failed to inform Trump when Flynn was under consideration for appointment to the most sensitive national security position in the government.

For someone that doesnt care, you sure do act like you got something twisted in your panties.

Commonly...comments made here on this site are offered not JUST for the poster (using the posters own words) but for general consumption. Yoiu made some good points. I merely accurately pointed out the universal application of all of the stupidity and hypocrisy that is on display over the Trump election.

Yes Jack, I got that, but yet this is supposed to be a back and forth, that's how conversations are had....The fact that you keep saying "if" to pose that every little thing you liberals raise questions about is a "force him out of office" scandal to you guy's tips your hand on exactly what libs are doing here...And that is throwing **** against the wall, and in the process looking very small.

Appointing a foreign agent to the National Security Council is a force him out of office scandal, in my opinion. It is far worse than any of the other misfeasance that marks Trump at this point. As for the "if he knew", this is giving Trump a benefit of the doubt he doesn't deserve considering: 1) his close personal association with Flynn, 2) that the story had been headline news, 3) that the White House counsel knew and had told Flynn to consult his lawyer on registering as a foreign agent as required by law.

The campaign officials were party to a contract agreement to avoid lobbying for five years to a lifetime.

Lobbying during the campaign would be a conflict of interest as well as a breach of contract.
Regardless whomever surveilled him and released transcripts to the newpapers should be prosecuted for violating a citizens rights.

Scandalous!
An indicator that the GOP was moving way too fast on the confirmation hearings. Appointees were being voted on before they were entirely vetted.

Flynn is an example of what can happen when voting precedes a thorough vetting.

That position is not confirmed.
