Sources: Huntsman tapped as ambassador to Russia

One of my favorite politicians ever.

Washington (CNN) — Former Utah governor and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman has accepted President Donald Trump's offer to serve as the next ambassador to Russia, several senior administration officials told CNN.

If confirmed, Huntsman would become one of the highest-profile US ambassadors, helming the diplomatic mission to a country that has seen its relationship with the US become increasingly strained in recent years. Huntsman would also take on the post amid ongoing questions about connections between Russians known to US intelligence and Trump campaign advisers -- and just months after Russia's meddling in the 2016 election.]

Nice to know that Trump is now trusting the same man who 4 years ago he proclaimed was a "joke", probably an Obama plant, and who "gave away our country to China". Maybe he wants him to give away our country to Russia now.

Well, I guess Huntsman is weak and wishy washy enough for Trump to bully. The icing on the cake is that Huntsman is a billionaire, too. Yet another billionaire on the team.

There is nothing inherently wrong with billionaires, in Official positions, acting on behalf of their country.

Sure there is. It's called an oligarchy.

When most of the people in the country are not billionaires, but a Prez is a billionaire, and most of the people he appoints or nominates for key positions are billionaires...yes, that is telling you something loud and clear.

But go ahead and stick head in sand. Less stress that way.

Think of it this way: About 10% of the country is African American. Obama was half Af. American. If most of the people he had selected for his cabinet and key positions in charge of running the country were African American, what would that indicate? Nothing inherently wrong with Af. Americans running the country and various departments and agencies. But for Obama to have gone out of his way to select a minority group of citizens for key positions would have shown what his goals were.

Fewer than 1% of the citizens are billionaires.

When most of the people named by any President, and the President himself, are corporate billionaires, that shows what Trump's goals are. Add to that the fact that several have or had close ties with a foreign enemy country, was receiving income from that foreign enemy country, and was in the employ of another foreign country, and you have a pattern.

Trump's supporters are so far gone that they are denying even seeing the obvious. Altho I voted for Obama, no way I'd let these things slide, if Obama had done them. Or started lying almost daily about just about everything. Because the country matters. And because I'm not stupid.

It's interesting how billionaires who control the left have convinced their acolytes to believe billionaires are bad.

It's truly a remarkable bit of psychological engineering.

I guess Manafort cannot afford to take the pay cut?

You are the one sticking their head in the sand and making things up to believe.
There is absolutely nothing inherently bad/wrong with billionaires serving their country in Official positions. Especially the ones that have been selected.
It is citizens serving their country. Which is not inherently a bad thing.

At our expense?
No. At Huntsman's expense.

So let me get this right. You hope that Trump is using the Office of Ambassador to Russia, one of the most important nations on earth, as merely a way or extracting some kind of revenge against Huntsman?
One of the most important nations on earth?
iLOL

It is the left that thinks he is in collusion with Russia, so it must be all planed out with them, don't ya know. iLOL

Quite the patriot you are..
Hilarious.

By sending Huntsman to be ambassador in his boyfriend's country?
Boyfriend's country?
Nothing but nonsense.

So you don't want Trump to mend fences with Russia?
iLOL Why are you making a straw argument?

Bannon is setting trump up for a fall .
Besides your bias dictating such for your own view, It doesn't appear that way at all.

Hilarious.

It sure would nice if Trump signed an executive order that banned the use of LOL for any comment that wasn't actually funny. ;)
