OK I was objecting to your assertion that DJT was "tapped" with this question: "I'm not aware of any story that Donald J. Trump was wiretapped. Can you cite these stories? All the ones I've read make it clear it was NOT DJT, but perhaps someone or ones associated with the campaign. "

Now what you've shown me is an old and discredited story by Louise Mensch (the server was a marketing server located in Philly, not Trump Tower) and a Circ story that just says, "The months-long FBI counterintelligence investigation into Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential campaign briefly investigated a computer server tied to Donald Trump's businesses near the end of the election" which is probably true and is the same marketing server located in Philly that was pinging some Russian banks, probably innocently. This was all discussed in November.

There is still no evidence anywhere DJT, the person, was wiretapped or that Trump TOWER was wiretapped. If the assertion is the FBI looked at a server owned by a third party in Philly for possible financial links to Russians and the campaign, OK, that's probably true and it was dismissed months ago. But all the reporting I've seen indicates that really cannot be the subject of the alleged October FISA warrant.

I guess we will see.

Maybe it's not illegal, but its very strange that Trump's private mail server mail1.trump-email.com was contacted 2,820 times by a Russian bank. 714 times by a company owned by Betsy Devos's husband and essentially no one else. No wonder the FBI has an investigation. And it's understandable that Trump could confuse being investigated by non-partisan professionals concerned about his very very strange behavior with being investigated by Obama. I mean, no one expects him to actually know how government works.

But brilliant post. And I really do hope that congress finds out what exactly Trump did to launch so many investigations into his contact with the Russians.

I think he and a relative and a friend also run a private law firm that involves itself in certain issues they're interested in. He knows the law very well, especially constitutional law.
