President Trump announced Saturday afternoon that he would break from a decades-old tradition and skip the annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner scheduled for April 29.

Too busy, or sour grapes? Well, IMHO I think a little of both....While I do think that being POTUS is a 24/7 full time job, I think that President Trump doesn't see the value of spending time with people that just love to misrepresent him, and even to the point of writing falshoods about him to have a story....No humor in that....What say you?

It's sour grapes.

"Doesn't have the time?" He was just at CPAC a few days ago.

I'm not a huge fan of the dinner to begin with. However, his snubbing the media is a bad plan. I have a weird feeling it won't be long before The Don's favorability ratings are below CNN's. ;)

It's definitely not because he's busy. He's found time to golf, show up to CPAC to get his daily dose of lemming worship and have fun, so it's all about those sour grapes. I think Alec Baldwin should show up in his Trump character and have a ball.

To be fair, Reagan only missed it because he had been shot.

Whether Trump goes or not this is a lose-lose situation for him. He has neither the skill or personality to be self-effacing and can't roast others without coming across hateful. But by not going he will further alienate the press and it reinforces in the Public's mind how thin skinned he is.

This is actually a brilliant move.

They'll be full of piss and vinegar at the event, and they'll go way over the top in roasting Trump, his family, his wife, and his voters. It'll come off ugly and crass, and he'll win because of it.

Must the media step in every bear trap that Trump sets for them?

This is a very wise decision by Trump. I think the man knows himself and knows darn well he would simply react and could not take the jokes for the length of time he would have to sit there. He already went over the line at the NY Catholic Charity dinner during the campaign and he knows that now he would go even farther and would blow up and lose control in front of the entire nation.

The man likes to dish it out - but like all bullies - cannot take it.

Seriously...what value would it have for him to attend? The leftist media hates Trump. Its pretty obvious Trump hates the leftist media. Does anyone think his appearance would mend any fences? Its not about hiding or spite or anything else. Why would he go? And hell...if he DID go, why would the leftist media go?
