RIP: Fox News Channel's Alan Colmes Dies at Age 66

Rest in peace.

Not my kind of guy, but yes, condolences to friends and family. Life is precious.

Colmes died of lymphoma.

And although nobody began a thread on her, Brenda Buttner of Fox's "Bulls and Bears" also died of cancer this week at 55, and Neal Cavuto's tribute to her was just wonderful.

I didn't even know she was ill. Condolences to her friends and family as well.

His radio show was fantastic, no caller screening. He had this scary fundamentalist christian neo-nazi supporter that called in most every night to condemn him to hell and all that, he was always out of breath when he did it, like he was a bit too sexually excited about his rants. Alan was brilliant at knocking down kooks on his show, and he always had great guests, left or right or from the entertainment world. He had some pretty good intelligent debates and he allowed the other side to state their point, unlike guys like Rush or Hannity. He was a passionate, reasoned man who had a lot of class. He will be missed.

I first saw Colmes when he was on Hanity and Colmes, seems so long ago.

I liked him because his positions added up, even though I may not agree with them, he made me think about it more, and he knew how to take a challenge to his positions. Much different than many of the left now a days.

RIP Alan. Godspeed.
