Mexico fumes at 'hostile' Trump immigration rules as U.S. talks loom

While I realize they have a much smaller illegal population than us, does this mean Canada can dump their illegals off in the US?

If they have illegal aliens that are US citizens or if they entered Canada from the US, then yeah. If I were Canada (spoiler: I'm not), I would immediately round up and deport anyone from Buffalo, NY.

For decades Mexico has been complicit in letting illegals from all over the world flood into the US. Now the shoe is about to be on the other foot. I can't wait to see news crews filming buses full of deportees from other countries being dumped out at the Brownsville crossing.

"Vaya con Dios, Mohamed! I hope you like tacos!"

The bolded is not true, atleast not entirely, mexico looks the other way for white people, and migrants from better off hispanic countries or pretty much whoever they think will benefit them. They are however extremely hostile to alot of other non mexican hispanics crossing their borders.

Guatemalans are the worst treated, the corrupt mexican military will either detain them or shoot them on sight. Go talk to any mexican who came from southern mexico, they will tell you straight out the worst position to be in there is someone who crosses their southern borders and gets caught.

Considering they encouraged their citizens to break US law they should be happy they aren't getting a bomb up their ass.

Greetings, PoS. :2wave:

I don't think Trump would call it a bluff - he will probably term it his "first step in the negotiating process," but he also hasn't changed his mind about having Mexico pay for the border wall, either! This might be interesting to watch!
Don't like me for pointing out your heartless comments.

Hmmm....well that's not quite as bad. Still I feel we're probably just unnecessarily pissing off a one-time ally and we could accomplish competent immigration reform without doing so.

Trump, Bannon and Miller love Big and Bold! Trump, a Rabid Orange Orangutan, loves adoring large crowds of supporters cheering for him. At least McMaster, a steady and gifted military tactician replaced Hot Headed Flynn ... and we have a sane, competent Secretary of Defense in Mad Dog. I trust Tillerson hopes to avoid constantly putting out fires. Maybe ICE and Trumped-up Border Agents want some fire works ASAP. Their idea of competent immigration reform probably relies on a vastly different calculus than what you or I might have in mind. I also think I hear distant rumbling approaching fast! I suggest staying away from the Mexican border this year.

One would think that a wonderful benevolent loving and caring country like mejico would be all about open borders and taking in EVERYONE.

By law, the US government can deport an alien to a variety of places depending upon the alien's individual circumstances. One lawful option is to return the alien to the country from which he entered the US.

The Mexicans can certainly refuse him at the border; the detention officers aren't going to just shove him across the line if the Aduanas say no. But that's where this will get interesting.

Does Trump make the Mexican government an offer they can't refuse? Mexico has an army with Blackhawks, Humvees, kevlar bodyarmor, and rifles because the USA gave it to them. Are they going to start buying their own military equipment? Mexico doesn't have F-15's and Aircraft carriers. How will they now feel comfortable against the threat of foreign invasion if the USA no longer includes them under their umbrella of protection? The Mexican military exists to control its own populace. How will the government remain in control if they no longer have all those Blackhawks and replacement parts to stop the cartels from taking over Mexico City and ousting the government? The cartels have $billions to spend on mercenaries and weapons.

This is going to be so exciting!

Trippy Trekker Travel Advisory - Stay away from the Mexican Border this year!

Yes, but the way its worded, it pretty much means that the US can deport anybody to Mexico regardless of how they got in.

I think they should definitely change the rule and start deporting them to Canada, too.

Canada wants them. The Mounties are saying this week that they have a large number of people crossing into Canada illegally from the US.

Greetings, Gimmesometruth. :2wave:

Oh great! What'd I say wrong now? :doh
Do I need to draw you a picture? You can't remember where I quoted you the first time?

Sure, it is like football, it is a blood sport, with human beings as the ball. Great fun! Get some popcorn, enjoy the show.

Maybe if they didn't want to be a football they should have decided to respect the border that they just decided to cross without permission.

Many had no choice, as they were brought here as children. Maybe the GOP should get their *** engaged and complete immigration reform.

Ok, so they can blame their parents for their situation.

Meh...shrug...says the Randian. "let them eat sand".

Ok.

Three solutions and the first isn't on the table.

1. Forgive the parents to keep the family together
2. Deport the parents and put the kids in adoption services
3. Deport everyone and keep the family together

Remember, I'm only open to two and three.

Mass deportation would immediately reduce the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2.6 percent, with an annual loss of $434 billion, and reducing cumulative GDP by $4.7 trillion over 10 years,

Lets allow people to break our laws then! Why be a country of law when you can just pick random reasons to not follow it?

Economics, humanitarian...are "random" reasons.

You're just picking things that you think will work to get out of enforcing the law. Sorry, but a country of laws enforces their laws, period.
