CPAC rescinds Milo Yiannopoulos' invitation after swift backlash

He's a gay Jew who likes black guys. Correct me if I'm wrong but... this is really far from alt-right.

...

He was raised Catholic. The only time his Jewishness is brought up by virtue of having a Jewish grandmother, is when the alt-righters want to defend his antisemitism.

And just because he likes big black penis doesn't mean he's not racist.

He's full in the alt-right tank.

Milo himself identifies with the alt-right, so I really don't know what to tell you.

So they invited him as a repudiation of liberals who try to deny him a platform because he says things they find offensive and disgusting.

And now that he's said something conservatives also find offensive and disgusting, they're denying him a platform.

Freedom of speech American style.

He's double ****ed.

Made his own bed...

When I read the transcripts of his stupid quotes, it's clear to me that he got a bit carried away in his obsession to attack the Left. By saying that the idea of consent is a "leftist, liberal concept," and then going all in on that idea, he dug his own grave.

Clear case of Rogan and the Drunken Peasants feeding him enough rope, and Milo hanging himself with it.

If Milo was a Democrat, the many alphabet arms of the GOP smear machine would be putting together 2018 ads.

It's well past time for DEMs to play GOP-style hardball for the next 20+ months in going after the alt-right wing of the GOP as well as the vomit coming out of this week's CPAC from Feb. 22-25.

Meanwhile, the DEMs have a debate tomorrow night for DNC chair and a vote on Saturday, while the RNC is fully staffed. Since the Perez/Ellison battle has become a Clinton/Sanders proxy war, I've been advocating for a 3rd, new, younger, flyover-type candidate in Mayor Buttigieg of South Bend.

Finally, have you seen the 'Indivisible Guide' yet? It's becoming the book of the resistance. Terms like 'not my president' need to disappear and be replaced by functional phrases, such as trump's 'Keep America Great' for 2020. The guide just popped up on CNN .

From the linked piece that Milo co-wrote which defines the facets of the movement as he sees them.

Yes...and that means he claims it how? If I describe a dog does that make me a dog?

I don't think you understand what it means to stand up for free speech.

We're talking about the programming decisions of private organizations here.

When colleges book him, young liberals demand the invitation to speak be revoked because he says vile, offensive things.

When CPAC booked him, his invitation to speak was revoked after he said a vile, offensive thing.

It's only amusing because the sole reason CPAC booked him was as an implicit rebuke of those young liberals' actions and mindset. Then the right mirrored both perfectly.

They just learned the hard way that something isn't necessarily good just because it pisses off the left.

Conservatives had to revoke his 'safe space'. Far too much ugly baggage was accruing to continue trying to justify the speaking invitation.

Never said that one did, no wonder you're so confused.

Pointing out how you don't support free speech is not the same as alleging a violation of his rights.

Don't at coy. You are in here telling multiple people that they don't know what free speech is in this thread. Then when I point out to you that free speech hasn't been impeded you try and wiggle out of it. So much for that high and mighty road you were pretending to walk on.

And? The alt-right are anti-semetic, homophobe, racists and Milo is a gay Jew that likes doing it with black dudes.

Here we go again.

He's a guy that likes black dick, that doesn't mean he can't be racist.

His grandmother was Jewish, he was raised catholic, and even if -- that doesn't mean he can't be anti-Semitic.

He's both of the above.

Trump's most significant influence in his life, his stead-fast lawyer, his friend and and by every standard, his mentor-- Joe McCarthy's right hand man

-- Roy Cohn -- was a Jewish anti-Semite, and led what was known as the "lavender scare" witch hunt which led to brutal mass firings and persecution of thousands of homosexuals.

And he was gay.

I'd like to know what genius thought it was a good idea to have this alt-right troll there in the first place.
He had every right to be there, but his comments regarding teenagers younger than the age of consent having relationships with adults is a bridge too far.

He is? Never really heard him say anything about race in various youtube videos. What information are you using to make that claim? Like, in this instance we have accusations being made from direct quotes from him so it holds water.

Don't at coy.

I don't, that isn't... What?

You are in here telling multiple people that they don't know what free speech is in this thread.

No, just Greenbeard regarding the bold quoted text and you since you said "Tell it to CPAC" which ISN'T the state (exhibit A of your ignorance re: freedom of speech)

Then when I point out to you that free speech hasn't been impeded you try and wiggle out of it.

Wrong, what you think you pointed out in post #18 I already established and explained to you in post #16 in reply to your clearly ignorant statement regarding free speech in post #15.

I clearly had no need to wiggle from "btw... he's never been blocked of his free speech. No govenrment entity came in and said, "we aren't going to allow you to speak because we don't want it said."" since it was a position I previously stated, Captain Obvious.

Hence my reply, "Never said that one did" or can you not follow simple conversation?

So much for that high and mighty road you were pretending to walk on.

Not all of them. Try reading what Milo and his pal wrote. The anti-semites are vandalizing Jewish property at a record rate. The anti-PC crowd isn't. Maybe there's overlap, but for god's sake read Milo's take on the movement.

He said he doesn't date white men, he only dates black men.

I'm operating off of the label how it is used by the mainstream where it is connected to racism/white supremacy. I think there are those who fall under that label or w/e that aren't about that kind of thing as well, like you stated, and what Milo has written about it, but I think there needs to be a distinction between those two groups.

Richard Spencer, at CPAC, says "I can't defend Milo at this point."

That time when even the neo nazi's won't defend the NAMBLA enabler.

I don't really have a problem with the long list of colleges that haven't invited Milo to speak, I understand it. I have a problem with the cretins who think that the way to show their displeasure is through rioting and shouting people down.
