How about that. Another white guy attempting to commit a terrorist act. Islamic extremists bother me, but the homegrown terrorists are even worse. Glad the Feds got this punk.

The program, "Countering Violent Extremism," or CVE, would be changed to "Countering Islamic Extremism" or "Countering Radical Islamic Extremism," the sources said, and would no longer target groups such as white supremacists who have also carried out bombings and shootings in the United States."

If you listen to Steve Bannon's radio show on Breitbart, it's the stuff of a xenophobic man who believes in fairy tales. He basically believes that a war between the west and the east is inevitable and necessary for cultural cleansing. So, yes, an Islamic task force has his name written all over it.

He read Strauss & Howe's "The Fourth Turning", and apparently it now drives his life.

Each turning is 20 years (one generation), and four turnings complete a cycle (80 years), with each cycle ending in a cataclysmic cultural war. The author believes we are now in the fourth (Crisis) turning, and the only way to restart the cycle to the first (High) phase is to have a cleansing war. So far our cycle wars have been the Independence, Civil, and WWII. The next is due in 2025, and the Crisis period began in 2005 - which coincides with the financial crisis and Obama's Presidency.

The war that ends the cycle is completely devastating and cultural in nature. Total war is seen as the only way for the country to rid itself of the coming implosion due to cultural malaise, so the country can subsequently be reborn in cultural purity. It seems Bannon sees the cultural war in global terms as Islam v Christianity, and in domestic terms as the Christian Right v the Agnostic (Muslim embracing) Left.

That's Trump's #1 guy alright, Beitbart and all, having Trump's ear above all others. He co-chairs as Trump's Chief of Staff, and was recently elevated to Trump's top guy at the National Security Council.

Indeed. Ethnic hatred is something no one understands. The authorities apprehended this extremely troubled man before he did harm to innocent people. The fact that he cited Dylan Roof and the memory of Dylan's defense testimony at his trial is chilling.

FBI catches home grown terrorist before the deed is done

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A white supremacist with felony convictions in South Carolina bought a gun from an undercover FBI agent, telling the agent he planned an attack in "the spirit of Dylann Roof," authorities said Thursday.

McDowell didn't have a specific target in mind, once telling the undercover agent he might just shoot at a party of black people, Lowe wrote. (snip)

"All they wanne (sic) do is stay loaded on drugs the Jews put here to destroy white man and they feast on the drugs. they should be Feasting on the enemy that stole their Heritage and their bloodline and trying to run us off of this Earth," McDowell wrote. "if you ain't got the heart to fight for Yahweh like dylann roof did, you need to shut the f--- up." (snip)

Authorities began investigating McDowell in December after he threatened a synagogue on Facebook. Horry County Police had kept track of McDowell since his release from prison on felony burglary charges a few years ago because he made connections with white supremacists while behind bars, according to the affidavit.

FBI: White supremacist talked of Dylann Roof-type attack

All terrorists are a threat, but these are the kinds of terrorists I think I am much more likely to be harmed or killed by. They're in every state. They are citizens so are not tracked until they do or say something triggering a report. They could be in the car behind you, in the grocery store, behind the counter at McDonald's, at your nephew's birthday party. They aren't wearing odd clothing or look foreign. They blend in. If someone thinks they are safe from such people, they are not. These people are mentally damaged and could decide to hate anyone on the spur of the moment, or shoot into a group of people you happen to be standing next to.

If there is anything among these evil people that seems common, it's that they look very unhappy. There aren't many pics of them smiling or laughing. They scowl a lot. But not everyone who scowls a lot is a domestic terrorist.

Note that the prohibition of selling guns to felons, and running background checks, prevented this guy from buying a gun legally, so he was caught by trying to buy in the black market.
