Businesses Across U.S. Close for 'Day Without Immigrants'

The USA Today story hints at some major shutdown of commerce, but can only name a few overpriced restaurants that will be closed. The owners of these restaurants are wealthy millionaire celebrity chefs.

This article goes on to quote a spokeswoman from the racist supremacist group La Raza, and generally never lives up to it's headline.

Real immigrants will of course be working today, as will real non-immigrants, or 'documented taxpayers' as Americans have become.

So a chef guy who violated his contract with trump is now trying to run a boycott? sour grapes much?

Here's what's really happening, all the mexican cooks, and dishwashers, etc are being told by these snooty liberal resuraunt owners to stay home, without pay, to protest trump. whether they need the money or not.

Good show. /facepalm

And tomorrow, all businesses will close for non-immigrants.

On Monday, all businesses will close for left handed workers.

On Tuesday, all businesses will close for right handed workers.

...

On Friday, July 14, all businesses will close for people who have never bought cinema popcorn without butter.

You probably don't even realize what "La Raza" is and even if I took the time to explain in detail on translations you still would reject it and they do not support reconquista.

La Raza (the race), once advocated for reconquista. that they say they are not is revision, they simply also, many belong to the groups I just listed.

What is Trump? Third generation immigrant? Will he go to the office?

Yeah, businesses that thrive on exploiting illegal labor support the illegal labor protest. Shocker.

I think the illegal immigration advocates to celebrate with a "Breaking and Entering" day to celebrate illegal residents as "undocumented home owners"

If you can show me an official source showing the NCLR advocated for reconquista or those groups openly advocate for it too, I will admit they did.

Raza isn't racist - LA Times

But, as in Islam, a few indige-nazis are stains sullying a noble organization. I should know. I am a Mechista.

As both a member of the invading army and a proud son of Mexican-hating Orange County, I can testify that, without a doubt, MEChA is harmless.

Sure, the organization's founding documents, the Plan de Santa Barbara and the Plan Espiritual de Aztlán, call for a Chicano homeland. But few members take these hilariously dated relics of the 1960s seriously, if they even bother to read them. Little of the modern-day MEChA remains separatist, other than the occasional Che-spouting junior and a few cute mestizas with Aztec names like Citlali who sport Frida ponytails, black-frame glasses and Chuck Taylor high-tops.

MEChA's primary objectives are not secessionist but educational (get as many Latino high schoolers into the universities as possible and help them stay there) and cultural. For many Mexican American students, MEChA is their family by proxy, a support network for those of us who were the first in our families to graduate from high school, let alone college.

The open-borders philosophy expressed by many Mechistas isn't born from an irredentist ideology but from their experience of having relatives divided by borders. All that raza clatter isn't racism, it's the traditional way immigrants climb the success ladder — through solidarity and education. The loaded term itself is better understood as representing the immediate community, not as a proclamation of Mexican superiority to all other races.

I can totally relate to the feeling of my family and the division this issue causes. It doesn't mean we are trying to take over or that we all agree with open border.

Here in Southern California we're hoping for a repeat of what happened during previous protests and the impact on traffic.

When Illegals staged one of their first protests in Los Angeles some years ago, the traffic on freeways was so dramatically lowered, the size of the illegal population was revealed.

I have some appointments today and I'm hoping traffic will be as light as it was during similar events.

You can't even manage to seperate illegal and legal immigrants in your response. If only illegals walked out on their jobs we would cope. The hardest hit would be a bunch of dishonest, cheating businesses who drive down wages by paying illegals under the table. I'm not any more broken up by those businesses failing than I am saddened by a company that fails when they are busted for tax evasion.

Actually I did separate them by saying separately, illegal and legal instead of just simply immigrants.

If we can cope without illegals, I guess they are not really taking away American jobs, huh.

Here is what La Raza means to the Council. Spare us your paranoia.

What does the term “La Raza” mean?

The term “La Raza” has its origins in early 20th century Latin American literature and translates into English most closely as “the people” or, according to some scholars, “the Hispanic people of the New World.” The term was coined by Mexican scholar José Vasconcelos to reflect the fact that the people of Latin America are a mixture of many of the world’s races, cultures, and religions. The full term coined by Vasconcelos, “la raza cósmica,” meaning “the cosmic people,” reflects an expansive, inclusive view of the mixture inherent in Hispanics and that Hispanics share a common heritage and destiny with all other people of the world.

Actually I did separate them by saying separately, illegal and legal instead of just simply immigrants.

Mentioning them seperately doesn't absolve you when you point was to combine their impact.

If we can cope without illegals, I guess they are not really taking away American jobs, huh.

Wut.

An illegal doing a job in the US is filling a job that could be held by an American. How is it you whiffed so bad on that very simple concept?

Funny how the right in here is so quick and desperate to play the race card.

La raza is a racist organization

I am happy to point that out

No it is not. American Woman has thoroughly embarrassed you in this thread over this lie you and your ilk in here have been trying to put forth.

How about a "Day without illegal immigrants" where all the businesses that employ illegal immigrants shut down for the day?

Well Trump's businesses would have to close then for that day, I'm sure that wouldn't make him happy.

I think the illegal immigration advocates to celebrate with a "Breaking and Entering" day to celebrate illegal residents as "undocumented home owners"

How about an "Illegal aliens ride the bus day?"

Imagine traffic cops and ambulance drivers all over America hanging out at Duncan Donuts because they have fewer horrific accidents caused by illegal aliens to respond to

Impacts of Illegal Immigration: Traffic Accidents

First of all, La Raza is not a racist supremacist group. Second, what exactly is wrong with her quote:

Their name is literally translated into, "The Race". Sounds mighty supremist, to me. I bet if a buncha white boys had a group called The Race you wouldn't be saying that.

IOW - "I can't make a post without saying something insulting about Pres. Trump, because I'm obsessed with hating him."

Translation: "you said something bad about my messiah Trump, so I have to immediately post a straw man".

It's pretty radical starting with the name itself

La Raza has in the past embraced the Reconquesta movement that claims California was stolen from Mexico and generally stirs up resentment by Mexicans toward whites in the public schools

These are not nice people

On the bright side, nobody pays them any attention at all.

I am surprised to see them referenced in a news story.

The hotel chain should bring in people to cover the people not showing up for work.

Telling guests to suck it up, is way out of line.

Exactly.

"Dear Double Tree,

As a frequent customer of Double Tree I have received word that due to a walk out you will be short handed and unable to provide the service to your customers that we are accustomed to and pay for.

Until you have sorted out this staffing issue I will not be staying at your establishment.

Luckily I have already secured the recipe for your Graham Pancakes with Apple Compote so I will not be deprived.

I thank you for your support in these trying times.

Sincerely,

Get Bent"
