WSJ: Spies Keep Intelligence from Donald Trump

One of the most amazing things to come out of one amazing month. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that intelligence agencies for the USA are intentionally withholding intelligence from Donald Trump.

You have to a subscriber to get more than that however it is all over the news tonight.

The idea that Trump cannot be trusted - or people who work for Trump cannot be trusted - is beyond staggering. It is something that would be inconceivable under any other administration.

You have to wonder if some in the intelligence agencies wonder just which nation Trump is looking out for.

It's common knowledge the man has a loose tongue and no self discipline. No surprise here.

His comment insulted trump; your comment insulted the poster .

His comments, by the hundreds, insult the president of the United States. You really think Calamity needs your help?

From what I have seen, Trump has no understanding of information security.

Did you see him at Mar a logo with club patrons milling around taking pictures while he was discussing the NK missile launch?

A little hyperbolic don't you think? People that have been in an actual civil war would strongly disagree with you.

It's the only kind of civil war we'll ever see in this country. No group is going to go up against our military. The destruction of the United States of America will come from within . . . And right now, it's looking like extreme activism will do the trick. "The trick" being disenfranchising the electorate and toppling The White House.

That is part of the reason for my impression.

I'm not sure whether they do or not, depending on situation.

Which is partly why it's a catch-22

I mean, assuming, for the sake of argument, that Trump is actually a security risk.
What if they have information that would get assets killed should it be discovered? And they know that Trump, or perhaps his staff, are leaking information?

That's a difficult situation.

We had a guy in the ANG we joked we'd off if we went to war. It was O.K. when we handled dummy bombs but when it came to the live ones he'd get us all killed.

The election was already stolen via collusion with our main enemy since WW2 and the Comey interference. The electorate was disenfranchised before a single person ever cast a vote on that Tuesday in November.

It's quite likely that HOT INTEL from overseas will impeach trump and McConnell already has known of it since September.

I can tell you this, the pushback from Nixon apologists was every bit as fierce as now .

I'm glad someone remembers the Nixon fiasco and the erie parallels.

I have not see it, but MSNBC is reporting that tomorrows NY Times is reporting that Trump wants to appoint a new outsider to review the entire intelligence comma it and revamp it. Put these two stories together - WSJ and NYT - and it is very possible that people within the intelligence and defense community have already made a decision to destroy Trump before he destroys out nations intelligence capability and thereby threatens the security of every American citizen.

I believe Coats has put the kabosh on this for the time being .

Oh you poor baby. Your man child may go down.

The problem with your disenfranchising the electorate statement is more people voted against him than for him. The electoral college needs to be abolished.

I see you've joined the Steve Bannon school of telling the media to shut up .

Mags, you know I love you, but Trump has nastily insulted more people in 3 weeks than most presidents have in 3 years. He is rude and crude and most undiplomatic. Payback is a mother****er. Trump gets the respect that he gives. He does not respect the office. He in turn is not respected by many.

Damm right! It was FUBAR from the beginning. And the fact that Trump came out the front runner of the republicans defied common sense. On the other hand that line up was a joke.

Yes she apparently believes in free speech as long as she can shut up the opposition.

Then the Left certainly missed its opportunity to make that happen, didn't it?

IMO, Republicans disenfranchised people when they took over state legislatures and gerrymandered most of the country.

Trump is one of the results.

Edit: The democrats are as much at fault, in many ways.

Some of their party benefit from gerrymandering as well.

The left nor the right can get it done alone. It has to be a bipartisan effort.

What did my post have to do with the media? Nimby, I know I'm getting under your skin... sorry about that.

Oh, wait. No, I'm not. ;)

When the intelligence community "doxs" anyone they don't like, it becomes a question along the lines of why we have civilian control of the military and why it is that way. The intelligence services don't have veto power over an elected official, let alone a president. This us why the dems are trying to cut Sessions throats before he can become AG so they get get someone they can control.

That happened when southern conservative segregationists led by Strom Thurmond filibustered that amendment in 1969, when I was 16-yo .

Thank you for your edit and your honesty. I like that a lot in a person even when I don't agree with them.
