Jake Tapper lied to the American people on national television and got praised by the Obama administration for doing so. If he lied he probably felt he would be vindicated. However our intelligence agencies are full of people loyal to the establishment more than the people. I wouldn't be surprised if the "evidence" against him is completely forged but you can't fight something like that. Flynn is being sandbagged because he was ready to do his damndest to clean house.

CNN reported not long ago that the CIA and Acting AG Yates warned the White House in January that Flynn was at risk of being blackmailed by the Kremlin. If that is true I would imagine Flynn could be in deep caca regarding more than we know.

If Trump was informed at the time, and no one has said that he was, he should have been notified immediately, then it could be that Trump has some splaining to do. Even though there is a discernible pattern now with Trump and the Russians the GOP will let him skate.

You say she had ethics? Really? Then ethically she should have resigned, but she didn't. She had to be fired, for insubordination, which cannot even by any stretch of the imagination be equated as an ethical act. As for what she "knew" versus what she "thought?"That's debatable since the EO hasn't been ruled on by the SCOTUS, and this thread isn't about her, or the EO, or the lawsuit over the EO. For that reason, I'm done discussing it in this thread.

Not only did Flynnov Lie, Apparently the President Knew/was briefed WEEKS AGO/"Last Month" (via Sally Gates) Flynn LIED/had indeed talked Sanctions, and indeed MAINLY talked sanctions, with the Russian Ambassador...
and Comrade Trumpov did NOTHING. Nor tell the VP?

IMO, it's entirely possible Trump and/or His Campaign knew Months ago, and that Flynn was acting at their Behest.

Bull. She knew exactly what she was doing. She was not going to rubber stamp something she knew had failure written all over it. My dog has more ethics than Trump does btw.

I will also wager that Trump was communicating with the Russians too. His claim in the campaign that he had no business ties with Russia was a bald faced lie. He threw Flynn under the bus.

Seriously, I doubt that Petraeus would be qualified. He blew his clearance. I can't see how they could ignore that.
