Like president like National Security Advisor: Liars

Looks like Flynn's two denials that he discussed sanctions with a russian ambassador while Obama was still in office were flat out lies:

A person filling the slot of National Security Advisor doesn't know his conversations could easily be retrieved probably by the NSA? Then man is either stupid, incompetent, too arrogant, or probably all three. Oh well par for the course of this new administration. No wonder the military forced him into retirement.

National security adviser Flynn discussed sanctions with Russian ambassador, despite denials, officials say ? Utne Altwire

Wow only three weeks in and this administration is unraveling fast.

Susan"it was a video"Rice. And after she was promoted.

Explain what you mean here, please.

We don't, as a habit, elect VPs, the ones that might have the experience required to understand what running that specific executive office is actually like. We have had 3 in the last 60 years, LBJ, Nixon and GHWBush. In recent history we, the American people, did not want a Gore, a Cheney or a Biden. Governors have executive experience, but state government is vastly and expressly different from the Federal governmental system.

So, what exactly are you speaking of here?

Probably that Trump in his 70 years of life has not spent one day as a public servant until Jan. 20th. It kind of makes you wonder if he even knows what that is.

We aren't paying for it. They (the left) are paying for it by getting a machine gun of policies they don't like. Ignore them.
Yeah, I am a bit ambivalent about that advice.

You see, I'd like to just ignore them but its either not doing that or start debating with my own side. I mean if I want any debate from the one side... and then the intelligent debate from this side.

Its a definite conundrum.

We have all seen the appalling job done by those supposedly knowledgeable and experienced public servants. Exhibit No. 1, the O bomb administration. With that I can rest my case.

I meant as I said. Obama had no executive and scanty relevant experience, when we took the risk of electing him. We later paid the price.
Trump had had practically no relevant experience for the Presidency. We knew this and elected him anyway. That was taking a larger risk than one might think rationally for a job at this level. Weare already paying for that. Whether we will get anything back is still in the air, but the dangers are growing that we will be very sorry.

Its not Trump's lack of experience that is going to make us sorry. It is who he is as a person (or fraction thereof) that is going to make us sorry (for those that are not there already)

I get the feeling his is being frozen out.
White House adviser Miller dodges question on whether Trump has confidence in Flynn | TheHill

White House policy adviser Stephen Miller on Sunday dodged a question about whether President Trump still has confidence in his national security adviser, Michael Flynn.

When asked on NBC's "Meet The Press," Miller said that was a question that should be asked directly to the president or chief of staff Reince Priebus.

"General Flynn has served his country admirably," Miller said.
"He is a three-star general. He's head of the Defense Intelligence Agency. And I look forward to having more discussions about this in the future."

When pressed further, Miller said: "It's not for me to tell you what's in the president's mind."

Think i'll wait for the details of those reported transcripts to come out.

.....before coming to any judgement on whether or not to crucify Flynn.

If Flynn did discuss the Obama sanctions with the Russian ambassador, he clearly and directly lied about it (an emphatic No/2x) in an interview last Wednesday with the Washington Post.

Flynn also possibly sandbagged VP Pence, because Pence also denied Flynn had discussed the Obama sanctions with the Russian ambassador on CBS/Face The Nation last Sunday.

Then again, the Trump administration has rapidly become the 'alternative facts' administration. No admirable standards of truth and integrity emanate from the top.

He lied about discussing the sanctions with a non-ally foreign country who had been sanctioned by our country, before the inauguration.

That's far worse than responding from a private server to a staffer's email with a "c" in the subject line.
So, you're saying that an incoming official can't speak to their foreign counterparts? Thats npt right.

And I will add you haven't seen nothing yet and ironically one of the main criticisms of Obama was his LACK of experience.

It is not considered acceptable protocol since he wasn't a Govt. official yet, but it was the LYING about it that makes it news. There will be no dancing around any lies told by the Trump administration. They will be front and center as they should be.

And I will add you haven't seen nothing yet and ironically one of the main criticisms of Obama was his LACK of experience.
But you see its different, the O bomb had a LACK OF EXPERIENCE on anything real and meaningful. Trump has actually run corporations, built things, accomplished...the O bomb, not so much.

The Govt. is not like a corporation unless it is a oligarchy. The fact that Trump has never once thought of anybody but himself is his ultimate disqualification. Presidents serve the people not the other way around. That is totally foreign to Trump.

If you say so. He has certainly angered a couple of people by acting unexpectedly.

Christie: Flynn needs to clear up Russia conversation details with Trump, Pence

Sun February 12, 2017

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie criticized President Donald Trump's national security adviser Michael Flynn Sunday, saying he needs to clear up questions about whether he discussed sanctions in his pre-inauguration conversations with the Russian ambassador to the United States. "I don't think that you can have any more than one president at a time," Christie told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union." And, you know, General Flynn has said up to this point that he had not said anything like that to the Russian ambassador. I think now he's saying that he doesn't remember whether he did or not," Christie said, pointing to a discrepancy in what Flynn told Vice President Mike Pence previously and what he said after reports of those conversations emerged last week.

The Trump WH is probably in damage-control mode vis-a-vis Flynn. Trump insiders know they have to be very careful defusing this because Flynn's communications with the Russian ambassador were no doubt intercepted by the CIA/NSA.

Your hyperbole is out ahead of your reasoning I am afraid.

He didn't bring up such bright and talented children that, despite the many hours away from home, adore their father and so pretty much prove your partisan shot wrong.

You are watching too much from the Kool-Aid channels apparently. The reason he won states not generally going Republican is precisely in contradiction to your point, he appealed to the people who had been and still were being completely ignored by the professional politicians at any time other than the election cycles.

You have no idea the true measure of the man because you and your side won't stop harping long enough for him to do the job... which he will do despite you. Like at a construction site, bull doze that which doesn't comply with the harmony of the new construction... so a lot will be demolished, just like he promised.

He was asked about the discussion, and he stated he did not discuss the sanctions with the ambassador. So either he lied, or he's that forgetful that he forgets discussing sanctions with foreign countries. Which is worse? Neither is good.

You'll have to do your own research about whether discussing sanctions with a foreign country rep before you are in office is allowed.

Well, I am no expert, but he could have cleared it with the sitting NSA, before doing such....I don't know....We will have to see...

If you judge a man by his works, Trump looks even worse. A long history shows him to be a terrible businessman who burns more bridges than he makes. It is full of shady deals, angry contractors and bankruptcies that make him more than when he actually succeeds. You are the blind one. His personality mesmerizes you (and many others) so you might as well admit your loss of reason. It will get harder and harder to "cover for him" in the future believe me. So just say you are smitten by him. You don't have to defend him then.

Wow, what a load.

This from the side that promoted a half white half black neophyte empty suit to demi-god status ...as well as being way over his head as president of the most powerful country on the planet. Give us all a break, please. We took your side's bs president for 8 years and we are only 3 weeks in so far. Get over it.

BTW...

Nobody is having chills up their legs in the media, there isn't masses of fainting women everywhere Trump goes, and talk about shady deals, the O bomb had a past full of shady characters and deals, but lets us just ignore all that, I mean, he was a black guy, so it would be bigoted to say anything about his corruption prior to office...and the corruption in office?

Must I be kidding and must I be a racist to even bring it up? Yeah, right.

Those days are OVER.

LOL You are so mesmerized you think Trump is a Republican. He most definitely is not. His is what is called a populist and he only uses the GOP as a stepping stone. This is ALL about Trump and HE is his party. But we all know why you can't see that. That is Trump's real "gift"... hoodwinking people into thinking he is something he is not. Republicans think he is god's gift to the party, blue collar workers think he will make them "winners" again, racists think he will make whites the superior race again. You name it Trump's got it. That's the scam. And when he disappoints, he will simply blame others.

Republicans are using Trump for policy wins. They're going to deliver on huge tax cuts and deregulation for their donors. An increase in defense spending. Health care "reform". Then get to hacking away at SSC & Medicare. That's the republican golden goose.. deliver SSC to Wall St. Once they get through ugly GOP policies and the policies have backlash, they'll dump Trump faster than a sack of old potatoes. And Trump, who confessed he does no self-reflection, will blame everyone around him. But, all this won't play out until Wall St. loots America one last time.

Having degrees in both History and Poly Sci, I am certainly familiar with the labels you toss into the three rings from the left's circus. A circus not so much under the big tent, but an assortment of little exclusive tents.

BTW, I am not a Republican, I am a conservative that generally votes Republican because they are far more in line with the correct ideas regarding governance than the the Socialist social engineers, the identify politics fascists which is what your side offers [read: forces], which is what the democrat party has devolved into... I mean since we are throwing out labels and, you know, the "truth".

So yeah, Trump went against the elites in both parties, the establishments of both parties, the mainstream media, Hollywood and "academia" and beat them all handily. And until he messes up, and he has a lot of messing up to do before he could rival the O bomb and what he did to our country, he is THE GUY.

Our guy.

No doubt we have about another 400 or so weeks, and if they are anything like the last 11 or so since election, well damn, this is just so much fun watching all the chicken littles running around with their heads cut off... not that they much used them for anything and already being blinded. So just for the entertainment value so far has been worth it.

Actually just the one night, election night, has been worth the whole ride.

And now watching as he dismantles the whole teetering socialist edifice, he da man... far and above what the "small government Republicans" of old merely promised.

TRUMP is a doer. Yehaaaaaaaaaaaa as the dweeb former gov from Vermont said before he ever even got into the saddle.

Rolling rolling rolling, keep them doggies rolling .. hear that crack of the whip? As THE GUY, our guy sitting high in the American saddle herds, drives all the cash cows, the fat cats and the politically correct headless chickens on trail in that great long drive to American greatness again. Tweetin to pick up any strays.

Rawhide!!! Ha ha ha. Luving every single minute of it. Rolling rolling steam rolling, moving moving moving, though they're disapproving, keep them doggies rolling...

Thanks, 'preciate it...will have that great tune in my head all day...such a wonderful day, too, rain, sleet, snow or sunshine.

If you want to debate, then debate away. I was only suggesting that you can ignore because it has no value. If the president were a democrat and did exactly the same things, the left would be praising it all. It is just partisanship. It is garbage.

This is a huge deal. It's potentially treason, and that's not hyperbole.

One question jumps out. On who's authority did Flynn talk about sanctions with the Russian government? Was he acting according to Trump's wishes or was he acting on his own? If he was acting on his own then it's hard to not call it treason.

We already know that Flynn has highly questionable ties to the Russian government. He's received undisclosed amounts of money from the Russian state sponsored propaganda network, had significant communications with the Russian government throughout the presidential campaign, and is deeply involved in the fake news.. much of which was orchestrated in by the Russian government.
