In his first call as president with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump denounced a treaty that caps U.S. and Russian deployment of nuclear warheads as a bad deal for the United States, according to two U.S. officials and one former U.S. official with knowledge of the call.
When Putin raised the possibility of extending the 2010 treaty, known as New START, Trump paused to ask his aides in an aside what the treaty was, these sources said.
Trump then told Putin the treaty was one of several bad deals negotiated by the Obama administration, saying that New START favored Russia. Trump also talked about his own popularity, the sources said.
"The president's conversation with President Putin is a private call between the two of them, and I'm going to leave it at that," White House spokesman Sean Spicer said when asked about the accounts of the call.

1. Where are all those people who were all upset about hillary's email leaks? where did they go? here you have people leaking private conversations between the president and other world leaders.

2. why is kelly anne's comment on ivanka trumps line more news than someone leaking presidential phone calls?

I really don't mind leaks in general as long as they don't involve purposeful interference from another country.

Yea, these leaks are getting kind of ridiculous... I'm all about transparency, but jeez it's like there are people in the White house that want to topple the government or something. I hope they are doing an investigation... because this is some form of treason in my opinion.

Unless the leaks are somehow on purpose by trump himself o_O but i'm not sure to what benefit that would give him.

I didn't care about Hillary's emails, because they didn't involve actionable intelligence, or intelligence that could be used to identify American assets. But I do care about leaks in general. This bull**** in the white house isn't leaks. The President is a public person, anyone can comment on the actions of the president as they witness them.

As far as the contents of the call, any deals between two nations, I feel should not be made in secret. All negotiations above board. Especially talks of adding or subtracting Nuclear Arms. And especially with a snake like Trump. The President has no business engaging in clandestine phone calls personally. And anything he says on the phone call should be available under the freedom of information act. Which is what the big deal about Hillary's emails really was, she had a private server to dodge the freedom of information act. So did every other Sec of State since Email was invented. But she's the one that got caught.

Now if one of these "leaks" happens to contain sensitive information from the war room, or from documents viewed. Then we have to look at the type of information provided and decide whether it's a whistleblower, or a traitor. And if it's a traitor, hang em up. But if you are suggesting we charge a person with treason over office gossip because it's negative toward your candidate, then you are a fascist.

It isn't treason, it is gossip. At worst the person should lose their job. Personally, I don't give much credence to anonymous sources.

Actually, I supported John Kasich. I didn't care about Hillary's emails because I read them. The smoking gun ones anyway. And they didn't contain anything that could really harm us. I also didn't care that it was the Russians who hacked her, I thought it was funny. And I like that Trump gets along with Russia, and No I don't believe he's a puppet. I do think he's out for himself, and he's been trying to do business in Russia for decades. He probably has a few loans from there, and that's why he won't release his tax returns. But, we all know Trump isn't above ignoring his debts, it's why no one in America loans him money anymore.

And finally, what does any of this have to do with my statement other than I mentioned that I didn't care about Hillary's emails. Oh, that's right, you have tunnel vision. Anytime anyone ever mentions anything bad about Trump. You are the one who immediately goes, but Hillary. **** Hillary, no one gives a damn about her anymore. Now, we are giving a damn about Trump. Focus, or exit the conversation :).

I mean wow. I'm SURE these leaks are happening because some of the people around him can't believe he's POTUS and are leaking this stuff, almost BEGGING for help from outside the WH. I honest to GOD hope the Republicans have a plan on what to do if things get out of hand. And I'm serious, because it's going to be all up to them.

Well, he fostered an environment of unprofessionalism, lacking in dignity, throughout his campaign - including his acceptance and propagation of falsehoods. Now, I'd say what he fostered is coming back to him. And rightly so, I believe.

One former official? So somebody guaranteed not to be part of the staff and was definitely not privy to the conversation is a source? My God, it's so obvious that the MSM is making **** up to fill pages that its becoming comical. This is even worse than tabloid trash. This is some new low for the MSM.

The MSM is making **** up. Do you really think somebody who isn't even part of the White House staff was privy to any of these conversations at all? That's the source, a "former government official", i.e. this person doesn't even necessarily work in the White House. My God, P.T. Barnum was right about people.

Actually, you know what. I'm done. For today. This story is just so obviously fake and yet there are people whom I used to think were more discerning lapping this crap up. Might as well bring back that 35 page dossier and start reading from it as if that were news too.

More than likely Trump is talking to Putin about trying to make a better deal for this country. That is the difference between Trump and the left. Trump has put American interest first. This is unheard of by the democrats that put every one else ahead of the citizens they should be serving.

Do you realize just how completely inane and goofy the "finger on the nuke button" rhetoric is? I mean...seriously...do you even have a clue what is required for an actual decision to launch nuclear weapons?

If ANYTHING is damaging our country it is the mindless hate filled rhetoric that is being spewed. Our greatest threat to our national security and prosperity is truly where it has always been...from within.
